Good Morning everybody We currently have a small die grinder in need of a new shaft. Faro ART 200.486, series10902, V240-, A3, W300, HZ50, 22,000 rpm . I,ve had a good look around the web and found no one at all in Australia that can help out.Is there anyone using one of these grinders and if so, who is the supplier of these now. I know it used to be Kemet, but they do not stock spares for them and can,not tell me who has taken over. Any help would be appreciated Darren

Tim Pricy for sure. But the best drill i have ever used. Tool life justify,s the cost . I ran one on a old Mazak M4 Lathe at my last place. We used a 48mm X 3D to drill & rough bore the rollers we were making. I was the same when the rep told me what speed and feeds to run at.I set the drill up started the cycle, got to 5mm from the front of the job, cycle stop and then got him to come and push the cycle start.I stood about 15 foot away . those speeds and feeds look about right. Happy Drilling

PiP Check what parasolid version he is saving them in. If you ask him to save them in version 13(which he has the option of doing in solid edge) you wont have any troubles opening them up. I think the latest version of solid edge saves in version 14. Darren

Good morning everybody First of all i would like to say This is not a bash so turn off the flames The question that i have got is that if i upgrade to version X and sent a file to a customer that is stil running V9, Is he going to be able to open the file in V9?.And can anyone see any other problems occuring from this upgrade?. Also has anyone had any information for justification of upgrading to version X. I know a lot of you guys talked to the people on the stand at the I.M.T.S. i would be interested in people,s thought,s on why you should upgrade.All comments will be graetly appreciated Regards Darren

+1 scott333. We have the OSP E100M on ours. I have run 7000,s 700,s 7000,s and V10M. All controllers have there good and bad points and like jeff said, the 10M can give you a bit of a headache if you are spending some time in front of it. We made sure that we had the latest contoller when we brought the machine (windows base, supernurbs IGF etc.) But after going over to M/C , i hardly even touched the IGF and very rarely have to mess with the contoller. All depends on how much you use the contoller and what functions and extra options you have. Regards Darren
