  1. just curious, which toolpaths was everyone using before you started using Morph Between 2 Curves?
  2. if i remember right, the anti-virus was the problem for many. some had to use a different anti-virus.
  3. i have to say the saved STL look worse than before MU1, any reason for this?
  4. Multiaxis X7 MU1 anyone else having the math functions (addition, subtraction...) not working when entering in any of the fields?
  5. how did it work? inquiring minds want to know.
  6. also try using the high speed raster. the beauty of the high speed surface toolpaths is once you have selected your surfaces you can switch to a different path style without having to reselect your surfaces. ie high speed scallop then switch to high speed raster. the high speed raster produced a much smaller file (65% less) than the high speed scallop using the same tool and filter settings and scallop height (.0006) edit: plus a shorter cycle time
  7. you said previously on the filter page that you only click the xy for arcs, why not also click xz and yz? 3d contour surface should help. i have my filter settings set to: total tolerance=.0005-.001 cut tolerance = 25% line/arc tol = 75% activate xy, xz, yz also depends if i want acrs generated on those planes rarely use the smoothing setting ps what size ball mill do you use for finishing in your example?
  8. a suggestion: how about pinning a topic about verify and dog leg moves i realize it's in the what's new section but as gcode pointed out we are all guilty of not reading it or skimming it at best. jmho
  9. +1 gcode, hence starting the thread, but i would also hope that his reseller would have mentioned about the rapid motions.
  10. checkout the video tutorial on simulator/verify http://www.mastercam.com/Multimedia/ProductDemos/Default.aspx
  11. i basically had to triple my step over to come pretty close to what X6 was and it'll clean the break out slower, so best of both worlds
  12. Zoom in on the part as to what you want see if need be also rotate, then do an accurate zoom.
  13. didn't fix it for me in sp2. i'm still doing what happycat64 recommended.
  14. has anyone used it? my opinion is the X6 version is better. X7 treats it like a closed "contour" cleaning the corners out at the end. i have a slot i'm roughing out and am using a single line .030 stepover, .050 min toolpath rad. extended entry and exit are off, and the tool starts quite a distance away from the part and ends by cleaning the corners out when i don't need that. X6 works great with the same geometry, basically milling circles at a .030 stepover and none of the corner cleanout, and start and end are closer to the part. when i post the codes with the same arc filter X7 is 3x as long! any thoughts? maybe an option for a "closed/open" slot? edit: i realize this is part of the what's new features but.....
  15. still there, got to the NC Functions tab, you'll see it there. Also Backplot tab has it too.
  16. what are the specs of your system?
  17. that's because it's a self model and he needs accurate zoom +++
  18. The lower left on the verify screen has a "precision" slide bar, turn it up hth
  19. i think i know what may have happened, i broke the cardinal rule and used migration on one folder yesterday didn't restart it and had no problem yesterday, only until this morning after starting up my computer. that needs to be removed as an option . oh well
