  1. How did you upload that? I made a toolpath for you but when I try to upload it it says its to big! I did a zip-to-go but I cant upload it.
  2. Does your machine have Macros? If so just loop a sub program and use a G10 (if fanuc) to add the X and A distance every time it loops.
  3. Create the silhouette boundary, make a 2d contour toolpath above the part on that geometry exactly how you want and then surface project that down. Only post the project op.
  4. I guess I shouldn't have said that. Sorry! I'd help but I'm stuck with X7.
  5. Thanks Gcode dint know that could be done! David that is exactly what I needed to do, Thanks!!!
  6. How do you copy it though? I've tried to drag them over but it always just puts them in the same group but at the bottom.
  7. I have a bunch of mill operations under a multus lathe machine group. We are now going to run the mill work on a regular 4th axis mill. I just realized that I might just have to redo all these operations because I cant seem to find a way to change from a lathe group to a mill group without losing all my operations so that I will have the correct post. Does anyone know around this or am I stuck redoing everything? Thanks.
  8. "Auto Insert Spaces" Got It!!!
  9. Why when I make a comment in parenthesis it always puts a space in between every single letter?
  10. Any chance you could convert this to X7? If that is even possible.
  11. Nope! Its usually the way operators touch off tools. Happened all the freaking time at my last job because they used a piece of paper to touch tools off. On tools like that that just do corners I would touch the tool off to the bigger area already machined with a gage block. If that area was -1.000 then after touching smaller tool there ad +1.000 to the offset and part would be perfect every time until I left and they went back to using paper that is.
  12. Get the vertical Interapid. The one you can read 360 Degrees without having to use a mirror.
  13. This has to be the most confusing reply to a post I have ever seen.
  14. Create the exact 2d contour you want the tool center to follow 1" above the part and then use surface project.
  15. Poor dude. I learned on a bootleg copy way back on version 7. In my 2o or so years of programming I've talked 3 different companies into buying multiple seats of Mastercam because of it.
  16. What path would you use? I'm trying it with opicore but its not really behaving.
  17. I'm programming this demo part for our company and wanted to get some advice to make sure I'm on the right track. There taking this and a few other things were making to an oil industry show here in Houston in the next month. There also wanting to take some video of this running so I need to make sure I do this the best and most impressive way possible. It will be run on a DMG DMF 260 with the B and C axis configuration. What do you think of what I have so far toolpath wise? I know I've seen some people talk about position the part then optirough it but I kinda thought the blades are a little to close together for that but IDK. It will be made from aluminum and yea I know the blades weren't drawn correctly. K01-380 REV A.Z2G
  18. This toolpath is driving me crazy on this part!!! The first time I made it everything was fine but now I cant get the tool to stay on the surface. It wants to jump on and off and shoot across the top for some reason. It happens when I enable the round Corners option. Someone please help!! Thanks HELP5AX.MCX-7
  19. The "ORISON" code did it. Wow it runs like a champ now. Thanks for the help guys.
  20. Yea the brakes are off.
