  2. Maby take a look at the MPFADAL.PST they run the same way.
  3. Thanks Herk. The problem is not so much the length of the cut program; it is the repetetive posting of the main and sub programs. I only need a short main with "G22 L501 P2" The sub is also repeating for each repetition. I can fit the program for 2 parts in memory, but not for 12 parts. It is running now with a lot of cut and paste, but I'd like to post and go.
  4. I'm having a bad time with a transform toolpath as subs. Post is: Mitsubishi FA-Series 4X Wire.pst I get: % L000 (10/01/08) H1 =.0093 H2 =.0069 H3 =.0055 N100 G90 N110 G92 X.1 Y-1.26603 N120 G0 X.1 Y-1.26603 N130 M20 N140 M78 M78 N150 M80 M82 M84 N160 E1211 H1 F.16 N170 M90 N180 G22 L001 N190 G92 X-.88425 N200 E1212 H2 F.25 N210 G22 L002 N220 E1213 H3 F.16 N230 G22 L001 ( ONE PART, WITH SUBS ) N220 G0 X.1 Y-1.26603 N230 G92 X.1 Y-1.26603 N240 M78 M78 N250 M80 M82 M84 N260 E1211 H1 F.16 N270 G22 L001 N280 G92 X-.88425 N290 E1212 H2 F.25 N300 G22 L002 N310 E1213 H3 F.16 N320 G22 L001 N310 M21 N320 M58 N330 M02 L001 N100 G92 X.1 Y-1.26603 N110 G90 N120 G42 G1 X0. Y-1.26603 U0. V0. etc. then L002,L001 again, L002 again. the file is too large for the machine. I Want: L500 H1 =.0093 H2 =.0069 H3 =.0055 N1 G22 L501 P2 N2 M21 N3 M58 N4 M02 L501 N100 G90 N110 G92 X.1 Y-1.26603 N120 G0 X.1 Y-1.26603 N130 M20 N140 M78 M78 N150 M80 M82 M84 N160 E1219 H1 F.08 N161 E8607 N170 M90 N180 G42 G1 X0. Y-1.26603 U0. V0. etc. Am I missing something in the parameters, is there a setting in the post, or is this major post edit time? Thanks Keith
  5. Ken, The problem may be with drawing on the botom of the screen. Try drawing above center and change your c-plane to d+z-. This will change your G2/G3s.
  6. Try creating a line at Z.1 that intersects your angled line. Then xform translate, copy, # of times, from the end of your line, to the intersection of the angle and the Z.1 line.
  7. I,ve tried that. It still rapids from toolpath to toolpath, without stoping to rais the quill, if there is no change in Z. The post is not recognizing the different Z heights. If you put a Z clearance of 2. in the first Op all toolpaths will have Z=2.
  8. edmBosto, Lars is right on the money. The only thing I can add, is the H91, H92 values will change every time you remove, replace, or change your diamond guides. Every time I touch a diamond guide, to change wire dia, or for cleaning, etc., the very next thing I do is wire allignment and taper Z. This habit will eliminate almost all taper errors. HTH Keith
  9. Any one out there programing an 2 axis Acu-Rite mill. I have the post, but can't figure out how to work the Z positions. The posted code has the clearance height of the first Op. in every Op. thereafter. If the Z height does not change, the machine will not stop so I can raise the quill befor it rapids to the next Op. Is this a post or operator issue?
  10. edmBosto, Have you run the wire allignment and taper Z?
  11. Thad, We ran Verify with collision check and STL Compare. Then ran the mold. All is good! Thanks. Keith
  12. JG, Thanks, That's the ticket. Thank you all for the help. Once again the forum comes through. Keith
  13. It's on the FTP. MC9 files/kds.mc9 Thanks Keith
  14. Thanks John, I'll have to try that!!!

  16. I know it's a dead horse, but. I have a simple hemispherical mold cavity. Solid primitive block with a primitive sphere booleaned out of the top. Surface Finish Flowline, with .00015 total tol. at 2:1. Scallop Height .0015 It takes 1.5 hrs to regen the toolpath! the run time is only 30 min. Windoze XP SP2 Mem allocations are: 20,000 64,000 500 256,000 256,000 Is this normal for the tight tol. or is there a known conflict with one of the windows updates I.S. keeps force feeding us on a weekly basis? Please help. Thanks, Keith
  17. Give him a print and ask some questions. Find out if he can read a print. If your shop uses GD&T, he'll need to understand it.
  18. I'm with Lars. We thread mill 1/2 in. and up on our Mini.
