  1. We broke down and sent up the request to purchase Verisurf. Hope it goes through soon. This manual entry sucks.
  2. quote: JourneyWoman Machinist, CNC programmer, operator Love it. Welcome!
  3. I've have tried all 4 posts in the directory, all post the g54. It may have been a case of fat finger by the operator that posted it.
  4. Good morning all. What would cause the mpldaewoo.pst to post a g53 in the last of five opreations? We have reposted "post crash and a toasted servo drive later" several times and cannot duplicate it. Any ideas? Thanks Keith
  5. Look into Emuge "Thriller" thread mills Linky they drill, chamfer, and thread mill all in one shot. Spendy, but you can get 5000 holes in aluminum at just a few seconds per hole

Welcome to the forum! If you plan on cutting 4/5 axis, you need MC Wire. For cuts with no taper, MC Mill or Router will work. HTH Keith
  7. Newbee, Welcome to the forum +1 on the schooling, another way to get some good free experience is to find a machinist/scooter tramp/mentor, ask if he would like to use your machine to build parts for his scoot. Look over his sholder and ask alot of questions. Get your feet wet right up to your neck. Jump in and have fun with it. Shane, Try decaf. Keith
  8. +1 Kannon. Welcome Robert. If you are looking for a Mastercam Grammer. This is the first place I'd ask.
  9. To add to del, for larger holes with large start holes, ie. .500 hole w/ .375 start hole. You can create a second arc the size of your start hole and chain both arcs. Your no core will cut straight to the outside of the start hole then helix out to finish. Saves alot of time and wire cutting helixes in water from thread point to .375. HTH Keith
  10. Check your MC wire help under "no core wirepaths" There is a lot of good info there. Or if you have a specific question, ask away, we would love to help.
  11. Can you e-mail me Johns sticky unzipped Version9
  12. You just had to start it, didn't you John.
  13. I checked all the guys I know with sinkers, they all program at the machine. Sorry. Keith

  17. Welcome All!!! I hope you learn as much as I have.
  18. Travis, Welcome! I'm not sure on the Makino, but on my Mits the Z guide settings are set for you when you run the wire allignment and taper Z. They are the Z1-Z5 settings. Can you post your file to the FTP so I can take a look at it? Keith
  19. Kannon, You da man!!! That worked. Thanks to all! Keith
  20. Thanks Kannon, but it still posts a G91 in the sub.
  21. I've tryed all possible settings in Type and method. In all cases, if I uncheck subprogram in the contour operation it posts the transform in abs, Check sobprogram, it posts inc. Kinda makes my head hurt.
  22. Good morning all. I'm trying to post a subprogram from a contour wirepath. If I post only the contour (no sub), it posts absolute. If I post the transform as a sub, it posts as incermental. How do I get it to post absolute? Is this a post issue or a setting I've missed? Thanks Keith
