  2. At my shop we work wit a lot of crazy materials, but we have a job that we are struggling with right now. We are turning very simple cylinders out of 1215 steel and the OD needs to have a 32Ra finish. Everywhere I've looked online says that they are just going to have to polish the parts but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the material and can help me towards getting a 32 finish right off the machine. Thank you.
  3. I use deburr a lot and have never seen an issue like that. Typically if I don't get the edge break I expect it's because the tool is undersized (typically only about .001). I agree with @rgrin, looks like the part is twisted
  4. Hello All ,I need some help om my grove op.I am tru pecking my toolpath and on my least lead in the tool go in to material ,any help will be wonderful I am posting my file Sorry ,I use deep of cuts option ,check please least oper 323648.mcam

  6. I'm in 2022, so maybe it's changed in the last couple versions, since the addition of the cube? But this illustrates that it is not the same as current wcs, but top.
  7. Is your part twisted? Chamfers/deburrs have a nasty habit of showing how jacked up your part actually is
  8. sorry to take this thread OT, i started a new thread for MyVoice https://www.emastercam.com/forums/topic/108892-my-voice/ As far is 3rd-party dev, that too is a limited access forum.
  9. a different thread got OT for a suggestion to go to “my voice” – this from my reseller: MyVoice is not available for customers right now and is only in a testing phase for Resellers. Mastercam did not give me a definitive rollout date for myVoice to the rest of customers, and was told we resellers would be notified by email. If I were to venture a guess, I’d say at the soonest that myVoice will be available to customers is July 1st, which is the planned release date of Mastercam 2025. Then again, this feature may continue to be pushed back. I’m sorry for the confusion.
  10. Did you double check your set up by bringing the tool down to a known dimension via MDI (type in some code) with the table set to A0.?
  11. I'm guessing this did not work out. Until machines can make mechanical adjustments to themselves this will not be possible. You could capture data with a probe for analysis assuming you have the right artifacts to probe, like a certified granite cube. But 90% of 5axis alignment is mechanical, with 10% being axis zero positions/counts/comp/etc. Best to have a factory tech who does this on a regular basis come in and preform an alignment on your machine.
  12. Normally just use F8, but don't know what the difference is in "specially" using Show Tools in the Tool Manager....? It would be great if someone could explain!
  13. Hmmm, I've never seen that before. What is this "display tool" typically used for?
  14. The 5 axis deburr is quite uneven and strange. I indicated the platter level, set A0, probed the bore for XY center of rotation, probed the platter at 90 and -90 for Z center of rotation (+1/2 the difference off the platter at A0), and set center of rotation qualitatively in mastercam. This led me to believe everything was set up as accurately as possible. Of course it could be the post, control, or the rotary table but is it possible this is an issue with mastercam?
  15. Yeah, the floating license is lifetime, still.. It just means that you can "sign out" of one computer and "sign in" on another for the same license without bothering him.
  16. Yesterday
  17. Dynamic Rotation with mouse quits working in beta 2025 Mastercam
  18. I use the floating license and it works very well, going between my Desktop and my Laptop. I have FZ Wizard pro on my phone (part of the license).
  19. There used to be a better way. I remember asking this question in the past and being embarrassed because the solution was so simple. I'm going to test this in X25 and kick it up to QC if necessary
  20. Eldar used to sell a permanent license, now all that is available are a floating license and a subscription based option. This was integrated into NX at SpaceX, Eldar probably has the .dll source if anyone else is interested in finishing it.
  21. save, close file, re-open....................... got to be a better way!
  22. CREATE NEW TOOL THEN DELETE IT EDIT: CREATE, SET AS DISPLAY, DELETE
