Does anyone know if you can get the right output out of Productivity+ to run Heidenhain probes on a heidenhain controller i.e the onboard probing cycles ?

Still messing with this. Found something interesting. If the feed rate in both the tool branch & cut parameter branch are all the same, (as mine were) I get no rapid down: No when I changed my feed rate to 20.0 in the tool branch it works fine. Interesting:

The Store on this website lists X4 tutorials Whether they are actually available or not, I couldn't say.

Ebay might have some older manuals reasonably priced... That's 16 year old software....ancient in software years. -

Just like the title says. I have X4, no interest in upgrading, I am using an old small desktop 4 axis cnc machine. Going to be doing mostly small 3d wax seal stuff. I got this software with the hasp when My ship decommissioned and they told me to "dispose of it", well my wife has a need for me to relearn how to use this software and make her little machining center make her some money.

GOTO command not working with 5 axis program
mkrmrkr replied to Shiva.aero's topic in Machining, Tools, Cutting & Probing
@Shiva.aero are you able to increase this number? How did you get around this limitation? -
Appreciate the quick responses guys. Z2G it is. Thanks again.
-
Your settings look correct.....I use this toolpath frequently and checking "rapid down" as you have yields rapid motion between pecks on all our machines. I'd send a Z2G to your reseller.
-
The rapid on the tool page only controls the approach and end retract not in the cycle itself. Give high feed rate is your only option that I am aware of. You can put in a request and see what they say.
-
Using Advanced Drill for the first time. Can not seem to get the drill to rapid back down for the next peck even though I have the Rapid down box checked in the Cut Parameters branch. It rapids down same as the programmed feed rate. Also, what purpose is the Cutting Parameters feeds / speeds in the Tool branch. Seems that the Cut Parameters branch page feeds / speeds overwrites it. Thanks everybody.

Need to get a hold of your dealer so they can remote in and see what is going on.

Time for a call to your reseller

Windows 11 is apparently problematic enough that its market share is actually declining. I built a nice new rig for my dad last year, and put 11 on it. Updates keep breaking things, so we're considering dropping it back to 10. https://gs.statcounter.com/os-version-market-share/windows/desktop/worldwide

I would go into task manager and kill everything related to mastercam. I had to do with the camplete the license thing got hung up and a restart wasn't fixing it

I am also having an issue with Mastercam where it never starts at all, when I attempt to open it, it does nothing. Setting up defaults for Machine Sim and Setup Sheets
SuperHoneyBadger replied to Corey Hampshire's topic in Industrial Forum
Been looking for a method to do this lately as well. Found it today! The menu to choose a Default Simulation Machine for a given Machine Def is under 'General Machine Parameters' in the Machine Definition Manager. Found this thread last week while I was trying a few things out, wanted to update it with an answer. I'm using 2024 U6. -
Windows 11 Update corrupting Mastercam.Workspace
gcode replied to crazy^millman's topic in Industrial Forum
I bought a new PC last year that came with Win11 It's got 6 months on it now and I've had no issues, with Mastercam or any of the other CAD/CAM apps I run We've update 2 engineering PC at work from Win10 to 11 including mine. My work PC has been in Win11 for a couple of months.... no issues A coworker recently had a made to order Win11 and was suffering crashes so bad it was unusual after a bunch of trouble shooting he found the problem. He set his Mastercam installs to "run as an admin" which fixed the problem. As for security and spyware, I have turned a bunch of stuff off and opted out of things. The only way to eliminate it completely is air gap your machine. -
This is a new one and glad I keep backups of my workspace file. Anyone else seeing just random issues with Windows 11? I am hearing of large groups down grading to Windows 10 because of how bad the bloatware and spyware is in windows 11 that Microsoft is putting for the the NSA, CIA and other intelligence agencies.
