Advanced drill coolant issue (2023)

I have hundreds of advanced drillings and - big surprise - it is not working as expected, as in 2021. For whatever reason, it keeps turning the coolant off after each advanced drill, whereas in 2021 it stays on. Post has not changed. Is something additional required in there now? I can't believe how hard it is to get Advanced Drill right, there's ALWAYS something wrong with it!!

I think a lot of this is post related as regular coolant, M08 M09 outputs

fine if I do my part.

However. some of our machines require multiple codes for high pressure output.

for example

M08 (coolant on)

M183 ( 1000 psi thru coolant on)

*** toolpath ***

M181 (High pressure off)

M09 (coolant off)

Neither Advanced drilling,  nor our Postability post can handle high pressure coolant

and I have to hand edit the coolant output.

Last week I got in a hurry and forgot to fix the coolant output for an $800 drill

Fortunately, our operator was on the ball and spotted it.

Otherwise we'd be on the EDM sinker for a week or so trying to burn

an $800 drill out of a $12K part.

There were issues with 2021 Advanced Drill that made it seem like it was working correctly when it wasn't for some things. You got a good work around for them working in 2021 and then it was changed to support the way it was intended to work and now al the work around you did will not do the same thing.

You can add M codes in the "Code" field, of the "Segment manual entry"

Just wanted to clarify that M9 is output after each Advanced Drill operation using the same tool, not after each hole.

Just found this issue for myself.

If you post this file Advanced_Drill_Coolant_Issue the code is as shown:

Luckily the post I was using turned the coolant back on before drilling the next hole. But using the MPFAN post as shown, the next hole is drilled with no coolant.

This is MC2023, we haven't downloaded 24 yet. If I can get on the official forum I'll throw a post there too.

I think we had that issue, too, and I had to work with our reseller and the post department to finally get it fixed...but we're still having issues with coolant not being posted correctly as I've got it set in the library. I think some of the problem is we have different machines with different requirements and using different slots in the library settings. Our reseller tried to fix it for us, but it's still not right and I finally gave up...
