2024 threadmill verify issue

[MIL-TFP-41]

See attached file. First 2 tools were created in 2023 or earlier. Last tool was created in 2024. All backplot just fine. When you launch verify, the tool disappears into the holder.  Holder slams into the part.

The 2024 tool was acting weird so I opened the Too, Manager and elected Edit Tool Assembly

Everything looked OK and the 2024 tool functioned correctly

Did you change the projection or anything? I tried doing what you described and get the same crash.

Were you able to get the 2023 tools to work?

the entire files runs exactly as it should

Weird..

I've been using X2024 for months without seeing this.

Nearly every file I do has thread milling.

Could it have something to do with the origin of the tool holder model

Mine are always  on the top on the holder

As a quick work around save the profile to a level and link, it will then verify correctly.

For the fun of it I tried creating a new holder in 2024. (Toolpath parameters/holder page/new holder) Result was the same as the screenshot I posted. Really strange the sample file I posted is behaving differently for you.

I just created a new assembly (literally with a default-parameters 1/4-20 threadmill) and a holder in your file, and it shows up like this:

 

 

Notice that the body is truncated as well?

 

In a brand new file with the same generic settings, it seems to work fine?

I've been getting that every once in a while since 2022. I just erase everything and draw it up again. It's very rare that It will show up twice.

Does 2024 still have the bug where finish speed & feed (thread mill) get copied into normal speed & feed?

This was caught late last year and is being considered for a 2024 Update. Thanks.
