That's right, you can now set the right click menu to the way YOU want it. Add chooks, vbscripts, mastercam commands or one of several built in functions.

See the readme.txt in the zip file for full details.

Few things of note:

This has only been tested on mc9.1sp2 and windows XP. I was forced upgraded to both a while back and no longer have access to mc8.1.1 or windows 98. (I'm told this was for my own good. )

I'm still doing a lot of work on this chook so it is time bombed. It'll stop working at the end of June 2004.

Other than that. Enjoy. Have fun. Report any bugs. And wonder why we didn't have this years ago.

Bryan, I am seriously in love with MCUtils.dll, and now the same with the newest mmouse.dll. Problem is each .dll has the same function in it; MW_Click. If I run both dll's, they interfere with each other. I disabled MCUtils to play around with mmouse, and man oh man is it da shiznit! Great Job, but I sure do miss meh Ops Manager buttons!! biggrin.gif

BTW, I was gonna make this stupid little script loader thingy so I didn't have to fumble around the script dialog for the 10 or so scripts I run all the time but don't have room on meh button bar for, and now I don't have too. biggrin.gif

Rekd,

When you say MW_Click do you mean middle mouse button click on screen? If that’s a problem, that's easily solvable. As you can already see there are several 'turn functionality off’ settings. Most of these were requests from our engineers where a feature, like scrolling on the level button, caused them some ‘oopsies.’ It'd be relatively easy to add more switches. Like 'No Middle click'. The chook is a major work-in-progress and I'm nowhere near getting all the bells and whistles done yet. I'll look into it on Monday. I've just been adding them as the guys in the back room have been requesting them.

re:scripts dialog. While working on the mmouse chook I've had an idea for another new chook. Still totally in the planning stages, but basically it'd be the successor to my menu chook. When run it'd display a customized menu like the mmouse right click. (All the code is there I'd just have to repackage the appropriate routines.) This would in no way interfere with mcutilities and you wouldn't have to have a constantly running chook in the background. So basically you'd click a button bar icon or main menu item and down would drop a customized menu. biggrin.gif

Cool.

That sounds like what I was planning on doing, except loading up the requested scripts into a list box and running them from there, but sounds like a menu might be a smoother way to go.

Again, great script and thanks for sharing!

Bryan Question when you set up the Vb scripts I left the frist one alone for each line. I then added 4 more lines to the part when you had the 2 others. I know have 6. I then put the name of the file in the second place and then added a name to the end of each one. I then saved that file. I did frist make a back up of the original before doing any of this. I then shut down Mastercam and bring it back up. The menu for the VB script changed and the items show up but they do not work. So question is are we limited to a 8 place no space file name like DOS and if we are running the right click should custom toolbars for those same VB functions be diabled? headscratch.gifheadscratch.gif Why this section is not working for me no clue. Every thing esle is awsome and not complaing just trying to help is all.

As far as I know there no limit on names or spaces. I just tried a script with a long name and spaces and it ran fine. Actually, my virus scanner yelled at me for trying to run 'unapproved' scripts. lol. As far as I can tell the script does have to be in the VB (ie C:mcam9VB) directory.
