Hurco Max control & MC

I have quick question.

 

In just picked up a new VM1 with the Max control, and did not go for the ISNC option.

 

This morning I started playing with the machine for the first time.

Since I don't have a cable yet, I tried downloading a small program from a floppy, using the MPHURCO post.

 

Anyway, the control doesn't even seem to recognize that there is a program on the floppy.

Check your entension. Sometimes they work like a Data Server and may need no extension like .nc or s spefic extension like .HRC so may need to call them and see what they say.

I've been waiting for an hour for a return call.

I've tried a couple extensions so far; maybe I'll try a couple others.

.nc and you may need to use *.* sometimes to see your nc files.

The older controls its called "change program mask" and you use the *.* to see all on the disk.

I typed Hurco into the Mazak control and it started laughing at me

If you had typed MY name into your control, it would have laughed even louder.

 

The Hurco didn't like the .nc extension, so I changed it to .hnc

But I inadvertently ended up with .hnc.nc; and of course, it REALLY didn't like that.

 

I've seen the error of my ways now.

Try O1234 with no file extension.

Yea you have to save em as .hnc on the floppy or it wont read it.
