Mazak/Mazatrol

Recommended Posts

EIA/ISO is an option on that control, it is an add on board in the control cab. You can tell if you have it when you go to write a new program the control will prompt you for Mazatrol or eia/iso program. If not you don't have it.

Cost to add it (assuming it is still available) is anywhere from $1000-5000 depending on what control version you currently have.

If you don't have the option Mazak will request you fill out a form with control version and boards currently installed then quote you.

Consider just using Mazatrol, it can do just about anything, no need to buy another post.

thanks a lot. we have never done any conversational programming on a Mazak, including myself. is it pretty simply and self-explanatory or is it a pain in a** if u've never done it before?

Mazatrol programmers are somewhat in short supply right now in h-town, that is why i wanna incorporate programming from MX. thanks again!

Mazatrol is very easy to learn, give yorself two hours and you will be able to write a program for a simple part in 1 min. It is in almost all cases much faster to just program the part at the control in Mazatrol than to work at a PC using CAD/CAM.

For a Mazatrol program all you need is a part print, hold it in the left hand and punch buttons with the right biggrin.gif .
