VERICUT 6.03

Hi!

I trying to run Vericut6.03 under MX2 interface.

but mastecam crashing as far I hitting apply button on vericut dialog box .

Anyone familiar with this problem?

Works OK for me. Are all of the Vericut Environment Varibles setup?

I'm running Vericut 6.0.2 and it happens to me also.

 

I get around it by selecting output files, run vericut, then clicking the X to close the interface.

 

It works when I do that so I haven't pursued a fix for it.

have not reported this bug as the work around seems acceptable. will mention it to them when i talk to our rep next.

one toolpath group. Even an empty 2nd group will

work.

But that's what I do in 6.02 and 6.03

I don't click apply, Ok, or cancel. Just x out when done.

So , jusk asking opinion this is masrcam or vericur or set up problem?

Anyone has same ideas?

One of the problems with the MCX to Vericut interface is every toolpath group is converted to a "Setup" in Vericut. You can imagine the problems that creates. For me, I output stls and verify gcode. The hassles of the interface aren't worth it. Another issue is one nci file for every operation. Not real slick either.

 

That said, Vericut with Machine Simulation rocks!

Can you step by step explane how you verifying ".stl"? My X2 still keep crashing.

I'm having a problem with X2 and Vericut 6.0.3.

 

When start the C-Hook I get the error :

Could not open VERICUT batch file.

 

Anyone an idea what this means ?

Humble pie time here.

 

The apply button does indeed crash Mastercam for me too. I had never seen this before as I have never used that "Apply" button.

 

I use the progession mentiod by Smit as my method

Hi,

 

For Mastercam X,the VERICUT interface saves all the interface settings in the Mastercam session. This is done when the user presses Apply or OK.

 

Important point: CGTech has not released a X2 interface yet. The Mastercam X interface happened to work with X2, except...

 

When X2 was released, something changed in the Mastercam file format that caused it to crash when VERICUT tries to save its setting into it.

 

For VERICUT 6.0.5 and 6.1, we disabled this feature in the interface, so it will not crash Mastercam anymore.

 

We are looking for another method to preserve the interface settings with X2. This should be available in a later release.

I just wish the Mastercam to Vericut interface worked as well as it did in 5.x

 

I really prefer the older version

Just loaded Vericut 6.1 last week. So far no problems. Mcx-Vericut interface works ok.

 

The new feature like nc program review in the main window and reverse step are great.
