Do we need a lathe forum?

It sounds like everyone is on a roll venting their lathe issues, and the good folks at CNC have mentioned lathe getting some needed attention.

 

Should we have a seperate forum area just for lathe?

i would like different forums for different topics.

Is Solidworks similar to CATIA in functionality being they are both Dassault? That would be helpful to many as well perhaps.

I want my own forum, where only I can post.

 

This can get pretty crazy if we start adding all kinds

of forums. I think thats why theyve kept it this way.

For different products maybe we could use the message icons and then be able to filter by message type.

 

I think the danger of having too many forums is that you may not get the traffic, but if Hardmill got his own forum then the traffic will be down across the board anyway. What with him not cruisin the forums for babes.

ANd with message icons in 1 forum will be a HUGE MESS as it is now. If I search for something on Wire I dont want 250 Mill posts to have to go through.

 

Forums for each "type" product would be by far the best.

In my opinion this forum veers off topic quite a bit. I think adding separate forums is a good idea, but will people follow it much anyways? Will it become leaden with more... ?

 

We don't need another CNCZone wrecking yard here. That thing is a useless mess (sorry guys).

My vote is if woodies; that make up like 1% of Mastercam's market (just a WAG) then Lathe shoudl CERTAINY at least get some consideration.

 

I do agree though that CNC Zone is a dumpster fire and as should NOT become that.
