Weird promlems on a Monday morning

I just got a USB 3Dconnexion Spaceball 5000 (ebay) and installed the drivers that I downloaded from 3Dconnexion's site. Everything seemed fine in MC and UG, then things stared acting up. When I'd click the Toolpath Parameters tab from the Pocketing Parameters page, MC would shut down. This happened 2 times. Then I tried to import an operation from my library and got an error message about incompatible operations in my library. I made sure my library didn't get hosed by checking the date and size. It looked OK. I rebooted the computer and got the error 2 more times when accessing the toolpath parameters. This time, I shut down the computer, unplugged the spaceball and uninstalled the driver. When I tried to post, I got an error saying the post can't be found. I checked the posts folder and there it was. I tried again and then it worked. Then I couldn't get the posted toolpath directory to stick in the Machine Group paremeters.

Originally, I suspected the spaceball since it's new and so are these problems. Now I don't think it has anything to do with it because it's been unistalled and unplugged and the errors still occur. Everything worked fine on Friday when I left and to my knowledge, no one used the computer while I was gone.

Any ideas?

Eric,

So far, it was only that one file. There is nothing in the Regen folder, but I'll empty the temp folder and see what happens.

Thanks for the input, Rob.

Kaz, I wouldn't let this deter you. I think the spaceball is just a coincidence.
