Pocketing problem

I have a part that needs to have a fairly complex pocket done on it.

I guess it would be an island pocket.

Can't get it to work right. I have sent it to my reseller and they got back with some ideas and if I can't make the pocket routine work, I'm going to break it up into contours...

I tried to get it to upload to Jays FTP but it don't wanna play

Could someone have a look at what i'm doing?

I can make the pocket with a series of contours as my reseller suggested, but I'm curious to learn why it dos't work this way...

I wasn't able to resolve the pocketing issue. I Emailed Jim. It is a little over my head.

 

Hopefully someone else can get it.

I think the pocket type is set wrong...I've been trying all sorts of things. Needs to be set to constant overlap clean corners

it's supposed to pocket everything on this side, the pockets inside the islands are already done.

I just sent you an email.

Some contours had overlapping entities.

Deleted them and it regened fine

Yep, it was the outside circle. There were two there and Mastercam freaked out. Run the "findoverlap" chook, select all the wireframe that is used in the toolpath, and run "cleanup". It will give you a warning about the geometry being used in a toolpath. Just ignore it and re-gen the operation.
