no arc output

i have a .406 slot that i roughed with a 1/4 endmill leaving .005 on the walls with a ramp of .05 when i post it all is good G3 and G2s now when i go to finish it with a 1/4 endmill (2D contour) when i post it, its all linear moves headscratch.gif my planes are set right part is flat ect

i am stumped on this one

 

any thoughts would be great

I’m getting the same thing as you….strange.

We had a similar issue a while back with a customer

where it turned out to be a bug related to

the ratio of tool diameter to chained geometry….

(this slot’s .25 center to center, same as tool dia)

 

I tried creating fresh curves off the solid at the cut elevation,

, activating filtering on the path…no luck.

Posted with the mplfan, generic fanuc 4x,

When I switched to a 1/16 endmill the arc output showed up

 

So then I created two .406 arcs in space and trimmed ‘em to a pair of lines

…toolpathed with your planes…good code.

So I did an Xform/translate/move and copied the new geo up onto the solid.

Rechaining a copy of your original op on this new geo posts good
