Bogus, that's the "Navigator". The "Pilot" has a large flat base, a bunch of configurable buttons, and an LCD screen to tell you what they'll do. When I switch from Mcam to Sworks and back it automatically switches configurations and the screen tells you which config it loaded.

I got my Pilot (not Pilot Pro)from Offlease on Ebay for $108 about a week ago and I've already become addicted.

I like it alot .. some of the new buttons are very useful, but its got so many, that you'll never learn them all. It works really well with Adobe Acrobat... blue prints on left screen Mastercam or SW on right , it switches between apps quickly.. it's the only way to draw..

Abode custom keys stick.. having trouble getting SW keys to stick..

Mastercam performance is flawless.

IMO its overpriced. $500 is serious money.

The Outlook stuff is a useless gimick IMO

and it has a 3 ft cord so I had to buy an extension mad.gif

A flagship product that retails for $500 should not have a too short cable mad.gif

I sold my old Pilot for $100 and paid $399.. no tax and free shipping.. so I'm out $300.

Is it $300 better than my old Pilot.. no

Will I be trading my 2nd Pilot in on a Pro?

yes.. but not till the price comes down.

I'm in the final stages of a huge project..

Today makes 17 days straight without a break

85 hours in the last 7 days..

I don't have time to trouble shoot it right now.

Once the dust settles I'll take a closer look.

The problem I having is..

in SoliDWorks

I create a custom function in the 3D Connexion

Control Panel

+ 8 ( Normal to )

and assign it to the Escape key on my

Space Pilot Pro.. It works correctly,

but once I shut SolidWorks down and reopen

the key assignemnts are back to default.

I can't find "Normal to" on the Mapping Panel

inside SolidWorks and have not tested to see if

key assignments done from the mapping panel stick or not.

Wireless... NOW we're cooking with gas! biggrin.gif

THAT would be THE way to go. cheers.gif

Unfortunately, I'm thinking for the laptop models, battery type would probably be an issue. I don't see how 2 AA Batteries would fit. The big dogs on the other hand... they could swing it. They appear to have plenty of room.

That is how I would do it, but

"Standard Views" is not present.. which is why

I created a custom toolpathfrom inside

the 3D COnnexion Control Panel.

When I get a minute, I think I need to uninstall

and reinstall my Space Pilot Pro Drivers
