X4 MUnothing

I got this error when I tried to create my 2nd tool

path today by right clicking the ops man.

Yet it let me save?

Then it let me create a path by using the pull down

menu.

so I tried right clicking ops man again and the same error.

Reseller is closed right now to ask them WTF, but

has anybody else seen this behavior in X4.

Cheers

Rick

Check your HASP dates

C:mcamxHaspX.exe

Have you renewed maintenance recently..

When you do, you get codes good for 30 days..

then permanent codes once the check clears.

Have you had any computer glitches that may have jacked up the sytem clock??

If your HASP codes were running out you should have recieved a yell about it every time you launched Mastercam headscratch.gif

Ive got it a few times in the last couple weeks.Hasp exp date is right but for some

reason I unplug/replug and it keeps on going.

Im thinking it has sumfin to do with the 64bit

system, but its not that big a problem.

I still an old faithful and use autosave. biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

gcode, my other 2 seats that don't have maintenace

and are stuck at X2 MR2, don't have the issue.

Just because I stop maintenance doesent mean my

software will stop working.

No glitches.

haspdates2.jpg

.

.

There is NO REASON for this. I should not have to

lose 15 minutes of work and 15 mins to get caught up because CNC put a redundant useless tool added to the software.

Everything was fine till it crashed.

This crash was probably NOT because of this error.

So forget about how this related to lost time.

The lost time issue should be in a different

topic. But that should all change when MU1 is released.

Its just frustrating when I when a whole 4 hours

yesterday with out a crash.

I couldn't call it in be cause it happen 1-1/2 ish

before tech support is open. its 9:00am right?

Every thing is fine now, I have created 5 tool paths

both ways and saved after each tool path.

I closed and opened MC twice and it still works.

I am sure the 'crash' is bug related and I must

have forgotten to workaround one that Is probably being addressed in MU1.

When you see a new error, then a crash happens

you panic that you have found yet another new bug.

I just shut down again and put the hasp in another usb as suggested, just in case.

All good for now.

But if you could call MOLDPLUS and find out

when they will have the MU1 ready for release

That will be a bigger help for I won't install

MU1 until its ready.

Until then I am going back to X3, after this job.

Thanks

Rick
