Can mc9 run in Windows 7 64 bit

Has anyone been able to run MC9 in the new version of Windows 7 64bit

I get a warning that the hasp in not found.

The hasp.exe does not see my usb dongle.

 

If you have any luck, please let me know.

Windows 7 has the new "run as XP" mode. You may be able to get that to work. I have a friend that runs some older peripherals like a usb phone adapter that only has 32 bit drivers available in the run as xp mode and they work fine.

32 bit might without a nethasp it quite a chore. I can get it to open with XP Mode, but accessing files seems to be a problem. I was looking at installing it into the program files directory verse on the C drive since it looks like Windows 7 is playing nicer with programs if they are installed there just have not got to that point yet. I will post back if I can test that today.

 

64 bit very very unlikely.

I hope we can resolve this. I've got W7 on my laptop and my work still requires MC9 (we haven't upgraded... I know, I know). I'm itching to get Mill9 running smoothly on W7.

I've loaded v8 on window7 32 bit, can get it to open with no problem but wont do anything else, not even close out.

Time to move on guys. It is really just that simple.

 

You can't call it a MCAM issue, V9 existed LONG before x64 systems we commonly available.

Some of us are restricted by the management ethics of the company we work for and not necessarily our opinion on what should be. Cash flow plays a card also.

 

I'm running MC9 still on 64bit XP and had no problems till I went to dual monitors. Is this what I want to do?

 

I struggled with X for a while but I'm ready to move on now. It isn't an option for me.

Have you enabled the Nvidia Desktop Manager

in the Control Panel ??

I have no idea if this will help or not,

but its worth a shot.

I already dumped the geforce but will try it if I can't get this screwy ATI to work right. See other thread
