Levels behaving oddly

X3. Level 3

I do work form Pro E. I get files as STEP files of assemblies. I then put eash part on it's own level. That's all fine.

If I translate or rotate, The geo returns to level 1 and there is a copy of the solid on the individual level. Also I can only draw on level 1.

Anyone care to venture a guess as to why this is going on?

You need X5MU1 and problem solved. Seriously I would try erasing the GUI out of the registry and try that.

It sounds like your Entity Attributes Manager is active, and this is forcing all your new Solids to Level 1.

 

Try going to Settings > Configuration, and click on the CAD Settings page in the Tree. Is there a Check in the Checkbox for 'Entity Attributes Manager', 'Active'?

When I bring in step files from ProE I have a similar problem. I can not change the color of the model. Not a real show stopper for me, but a similar problem nonetheless.

Most of these issues can be solved with the

"Regenerate Display List" command.

The icon looks like a paint brush on an orange background.

If that doesn't work, shutting Mastercam down

and relaunching will

When I bring in step files from ProE I have a similar problem. I can not change the color of the model. Not a real show stopper for me, but a similar problem nonetheless.

 

I have the same thing with Solid Works part files. Can't change color.

No check in the attributes mgr

"Regenerate Display List" didn't make a difference

When I analyze it says that its the color that I changed it to but the solid remains

the same pale blueish color it imported as.

No biggie but weird
