Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

I have, and I hope a relatively easy question, that a few machinist here at work cannot figure out. If so, is it possible to delete geometry, without deleting part of the solid or model???? :o

 

Any info or help will be useful, thank you for your help!!!! :blink:

You can run the user application Nohist.dll. This will remove the tree from the solids manager. You can then delete or modify all the geometry without affecting the solid.

I bring in a model on Layer 1 then label it "original geom" then i copy whatever I need from layer one to another Layer. This way I never have to delete or change the original.;)

I find that putting part geo one a specific level, toolpath geo on another ect. ect. is best solution for me. sucks if you delete geometry and then for some reason or another you need to make changes to the part. :angry:

Cool! Just fooled around with it on a job where I had copied/mirrored a bunch of clamps around

a part on a plate but didn't need/want the geo showing. (I had placed it on a different level but this is

a nice alternative!)
