Problems launching old Mastercam files into X6

I have uninstalled all versions of Mastercam and installed X6. I then associated older files to open in X6 but they open up with no operations or geometry. If I launch Mastercam first and then open old files I get the geometry and operations depending on how old the Mastercam file was. Is this a bug or do I have something set wrong on my PC?

Are you trying to launch and load the file in McamX6 by "double clicking" the file?

 

Using the file open utility is a much more reliable way of opening a file in Mcam doesn't matter what version.

Yes, I have double clicked files in the past and it always worked fine. No one on this forum launches from the file?

You config file may be set to open at startup MC in design mode by chance ?
