o/t (sorta) Pictures

Okay - I'm stumped - how do you post a picture here? Just type in the url? I uploaed a picture to nikon site, but I don't thing it will work here cause you have to log in there. I know, I know I was going to do a web page @ home months ago, but I keep putting it off!

and I did search the Forum.

Add [image] before the link and add [/image] after the link (without any spaces), for example:

 

If the url is:

http://www.emastercam.com/ubb/mastercam.gif

 

After add the [image][/image]tags, it become:

[TeccBoxx]

To post a picture just input the URL in between the following command.

 

[ IMG]URL HERE [ /IMG]

 

An easy way is to just click on the image button on the reply/thread screen and copy paste the url.

Thanks Guys - I remember it being simple I was just having brain fade. Now, I need to get the picture on an accessable web site.

to continue,,,,Kathy, You dont need to make a WEB SITE just to post a picture. You just need web space. You mention an @home account

Just FTP the photo to your space. Or. use the account management tools offered by your provider.

 

then post the url of the image surrounded by the [ img] tag, as mentioned ^^above^^. The pic will then appear inline with you post.

UBB doesn't have a file attachments feature out of the box. It's likely possible via add-ons, but we run a "clean" version of UBB.

My try at posting a picture of some fly reel frames in process. How would I change the size of the pic?

If I remember right there isn't a way for one of us to change the size of an image. However one of the moderators can set a size limit that will resize the image to a particulat pixal size that way we won't have a huge image in a thread.

Open it in Paint, Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Irfan View, any image sofware will be able to re-size it. Then re-upload it.
