Is the machine sim only good for mills 3,4,5, + axis and no Lathes ???

Is the next version going to support top-front / back / right / left? And do you know when it will support transformed operations?

Hi Dave,

 

The current version of Machine Sim supports Horizontal machining with the Top WCS, Front Tplane = B0. To use a Horizontal machine with that method, choose the 'Horiz4front' machine definition in the Simulation Startup settings.

 

I do not know about Transform Operation support, but I will ask.

I know that it supports top/front. We have several jobs that use "all" sides of the tomb stone. I cant simulate them using the machine simulation. Obviously we cannot use it for transform.

I have some of the same problems, some of my operation work, and some flip the part upside down to run the operation then flip it back to run other operations. I have the plane correct in the file but machsim will not run it correct. The posted code runs good on the machine. I also built my machine the same orientation as the 'Horiz4front' and it will not work, It tells me that my machine is not a 4 axis machine even when I have 4 axis define and working in axis control. It like they have something special on their 'Horiz4front' machine to make it run. If you build one the post setting tab doses not have all the options that they have with their machine.

Its kinda silly because I dont know "anyone" that only uses the "front" face of their tombstone.
