Hi Tim,

Those posts are available on the X7 Post Installation Install program, available from your Mastercam Reseller. If your Reseller isn't familiar with this program, they can contact the Post Department for support. This installation program is available for them to download from our Extranet.

Thanks,

Colin

Thanks Mr. M, but I can't take all the credit...

I hope you guys find both posts useful.

Tim, I'd appreciate some feedback on the Okuma post if you have any. I think the Drill Cycles still need a little bit of work. I was waiting for some feedback from a couple different A.E.s, but never got much...

Thanks,

Colin

Hi Mick,

I don't think I ever updated the Tapping cycle to include the Peck parameter. Thanks for reminding me, I'll add that to my list...

Sorry, I didn't want to contribute to what I imagine is an already bulging list :)

Curious if it has Hi-Cut misc values in it. Sooo busy now can't even consider even looking at it yet.

Hi Chris,

Yes, it does. Well, Super Nurbs actually. I've right now been testing some of it. I just added peck tapping to the P200 control post as well :)

Hi Chris,

Yes, the Okuma post support both Hi-Cut and Super-NURBS functionality. A switch in the post sets which mode you are using.

I set some basic defaults for both Inch and Metric default values. You can easily change the defaults either through the Control Definition Manager, or by manually editing the defaults in the post.

Hope that helps,

Colin

You still have to get a copy of the Mastercam Post Installation program. This is an EXE program available through your Reseller. The default installation of Mastercam does not have these posts. You must run the exectuable program from Mastercam to install these...

And yes, they are still fantastic posts, and although I doubt many enhancements are schedueled for these posts, they make a great starting point.

Guys, I am the new  Mastercam OEM guy working out of the Okuma Partners in thinc office in Charlotte, NC. Contacting your local dealer is the best route but I didnt think they are going to give out the whole EXE file. Let your dealer know specifically what machine/control you need and I am sure they can help.

With that note, I am working with the post group at Mastercam to prove out the Okuma post and get the certified from Okuma Corporate. Mastercam will be announcing the machines as they get done and will be available through your reseller.  Please feel free to contact me with question and I will do my best to help.
