2D Dynamic Core problem(s)

Recommended Posts

Good morning.

I'm running X6 MU3. Occasionally when choosing Dynamic Core mill, the toolpath at the machine will cut wrong. It appears to read a radius and rather than cutting a segment it tries to cut the full radius and sometimes scraps the part. Using backplot software (cimco or discriminator) I am unable to identify where the problem will be. Has anyone else had a similar problem, and if so how did you correct this? Ajusting the cut tolerances does not seem to affect the outcome.

Thanks,

PS.

For security reasons I cannot attach the file I am currently working with.

YES. I had the same problem with a Mori dura center with a fanuc control.I never got an answer back to solve the problem with the tiny arcs.Go with lines all the way.You will have to change your config file to enlarge minimum arcs for the future.(just in case it might pop up again)

Yes I had exactly the same issue. Mori FM-1 Fanuc control 21MB .Was cutting an impeller and it verified perfectly. But would run 5 perfect and randomly pick up an arc and cut the wing. I had tried arc filter and all that to no avail. Only seemed to happen on 3D HST Finishing Had to go to standard rough and finish path to get part out. Let me know if you discover the true issue and I will do the same Thanks for verifying my sanity thought I was the only one with this issue.
