This a new one for me (see attached). Copied a tool from the library into my part,

then went to edit it, then poof when I ok'd the message.

We've just moved on to X6, is MU3 the most recent (final I guess) X6?

It's really xxxxty that CNC removed all versions prior to X7 from the download page.

And now the same message, followed by the one the second attachment, when I clicked

help / about in order to verify my X6 version.

Yes MU3 is the final X6 release and that's French not pig latin

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I've had a lot of random quirkiness with it the last couple days.

Wish we'd have just bit the bullet & went to X7, at least it's still being supported.

This project is way too complicated to have switched versions, & I too far into it to revert to X5. :-(

Oh well, let the fun continue.

When you get the verify lock up(looks like a split screen)

you can end the process by alt/ctrl/del and it actually gives you a chance to save

reboot MC and all is good

reboot will reset the 3 or 4 things in X6 that stops working after you have MC open too long.

my files average 200-500meg so it could be just of the massive file size issue

MC creates

Thanks Rick.

I learned a long time ago to save before any intensive task. I now save after every mouse click.

We start with parasolids that big, multiply by 10 or so...

just turn of the backup utility and quit worrying about it

the backup utility works very well

Me neither. As far as I recall UG didn't / doesn't.

Surfcam used to.

There would be two files in the folder you saved too.

even then they were 10x smaller then (MC), combined

then(I believe)in 2003 your saved file would be one file, and the file size never

grew any larger after updating an old file to the newer format/version of the nci.

Haha, Been working on something else for the last couple hours, with X6 just

sitting there in the background doing nothing. It just up & dies out of nowhere.

Thinking that may qualify for steamer status.
