Not sure what you guys are using for your mouse, but I thought I would pass along my renewed excitement. We recently purchased Solidworks and I'm busy setting this up for ease of use. For those looking for a great upgrade look at the Logitech anywhere MX. I find myself using less and less of the keyboard on MC and SW.

the Anywhere laser mouse is the portable one of the Performance mouse that BenK was talking about that is a desktop mouse.

I run both one for laptop and the other for my desktops.You can not go wrong with Logitech.

Jay, I use the portable one because I travel back and forth with my laptop. I would have bought a wireless 3d space mouse as well, had they been available at that time. Also glad to see others putting in hours on a weekend. Its a great thing to be busy!

I also use the Logitech Performance MX Mouse, I even have one for my laptop I love it so much. I used to have all the different buttons programmed but since I formatted my hard drive just never got to customizing them again. With all that said, is there any kind of a fix for the crappy way a wireless Microsoft mouse works with the zoom? I even tried it with X7 and no improvement on it.

. Explain, mine works great. That said, I still use the space mouse most of the time..

Radical1 have you installed the drivers for the Microsoft mouse? I am not a fan of Microsoft Keyboards or Mouse.

I really want to get a wireless spacemouse for my laptop. I really don't want to cart around my Spacepilot pro everyday and risk damaging it.

Jay, nope still using the one that you have to plug in. If it ever die's, I'll buy a wireless one. My main concern is that the wire will break from winding and unwinding it to pack it up, been going strong though for 3 years.

The Laptop one is nice not to big or heavy and comes with a carrying case, the wireless on the other hand is a little heaver not by allot and does not come with a case but now we offer on the 3D Connexion site a case for it and they have one for the Pilot pro two.

Let me know how your testing goes. I think the wireless one would be much more convenient for traveling, much smaller than the Pro and no cord to deal with up every time you pull it out.

I am suppose to receive the case for by wed to. that was one of the difference of using the laptop one was transporting it.

I also talked my peoples at 3D connexion and was told that the small case I am getting is not the final as they are looking to get different ones soon. I also have a soft case for my extra Space Pro coming to. It suppose to work for both my Space mouse pro and Space pilot Pro we will see and post.

Jay, sorry for the delay I have been pulling some pretty busy days at work, I believe I did install the drivers but not 100% sure any more, it has been a while. At one time there was an "unfixable " problem that did not allow you to zoom in with the scroll wheel. It is an older mouse "Wireless Mouse 5000".

I would check to see if there are any updated drivers as this is not to old and is a Laser mouse.

I have a Logitech M705 Wireless and all of a sudden my dynamic rotation while depressing the scroll wheel disappeared?

 

Still have my Spacemouse pro on the left though!
