Randlexx,

I pretty new here so I can try to answer your question if i understand it fully.

I do not know what version you are using and i dont even know if it really matters seeing how i have only use 9.1.

Can you go to DELETE - DUPLICATE - ENTITIES and then use the Delete Duplicates box to filter out what you need and dont need?

I didnt know about that C-hook either!

I always used delete duplicate entities.

Have to try that.

I have also found that sometimes 2 splines made from the edge of a vertical surface and the edge of a horizontal surface wont be exactly the same.

When you chain, if your tolerance is too high, it will still stop at the endpoint of the two splines.

Anyone know what causes that?

Harryman,

The File, RAM-saver option speeds system operation by freeing available RAM (memory) by permanently removing all deleted entities from the current part database to compact it and by regenerating the display list to speed graphic display. You can also automatically delete duplicate entities if you want.

When you initiate RAM saver, and the first thing it asks you is if you'd like to delete the duplicate entities. You can select either yes or no (or cancel).

For reasons unknown to me (planetary alignment tongue.gif ), I've started using RAM saver more frequently. I believe on occasion that it has helped problem files...especially when I'm experimenting with surface toolpaths and get all sorts of novice-related-toolpath-craziness going on. biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Anyone else's experiences with RAM saver?

Nope.

RAM saver seems to keep things running smoother. Especially after deleting lot of operations.

Hmmm... Help... That's like looking for cookies IN the cookie jar. Who'd ever think of that? Certainly not me. rolleyes.gif
