RE #2:

wonder what people think of the blanking function in MC. Nice tool or useless complexity?

I haven't found a use for it myself.

feel free to delete my post / hijack.

I use ALT+E many many times a day. It's extremely handy.

I blank geometry that is used in solid definitions

and construction geometry used to create drive curves and surfaces

That way it's harder to screw it up and it's still available if you need it

I do this too, I use the Hide a bunch for most things but for all my solid construction geometry I like to use blank because it protects my geometry and I can not mess it up unless I try really hard.

As far as I know, the only way to delete blanked geometry is to Right Click/Delete the level it's on in the Level Manager

Or unbalnk it and select and delete. as I have found at times that deleting a level will not always work. as it makes a difference if you made the entity's blanked or they came in from a iges file. As if they are associative to the file geo it can remove for example those surfaces.

Oh, yes. 5axis drill where the op wont regen if the hole-axis lines are on an invisible layer.... I just have to renumber to turn THAT layer on. I can see where blanking could save one from anal/cranial inversion.

Trim the main outer arc to the back angle...there is a slight gap

Thanks John, that did the trick. But now I've got another related problem, my stock model fails.

I even tried breaking the link to the geometry, but no joy. It backplots & verifys just fine.

Run Verify Save As STL and use that to define the next stock model
