Good Morning

Thanks for all of your help!!

We are getting our first horz. mill!!

It's an excellent top of the line brand name, with speed, horsepower,pallets, and inverse timeing . I will need all of your help to find the machines threshold of pain. Speeds, feeds, what tools ,,basically what to do,, and what not to.

ROFL!!!!!!!! Me too. Horizontal you can get to more sides without having to flip over, better evacuation, etc... biggrin.gif

I had this problem once, the darn X axis wouldn't traverse. Come to find out the ways needed some lubrication. Darn thing ran dry after a long run. Remember to only use synthetic oils, they clean up easy cuz I was so frustrated I made a mess of it. Nothing is worse than a sticky way, it skips all over and the finish is terrible.

Hi all

I have been in a meeting for the machine for an hour, I'm trying to get more stuff.

These are some of the things we have

X41",Y33.46 ,z 32.29 travel

31 1/2" pallets(only 2)

13,000 rpm cat 50 ,40 horsepower

120 tool atc

Funac-16 iM

Full 4rth axis

Chip conv.

2000 ipm rapid,,781 ipm feed

Through coolant spindal (1000 psi)

48 work off sets

High speed machining

 

still working on auto tool lengths, and some store bought tomb stones.
