Yea but we ain't still driving a model t either. Only problem with cnc's is owners don't no the work that goes into running/ programming them. You blow up a cutter and its the end of the world.Well, I would beg to differ with you. I would think with the experience you claim you have you would catch the cutter before it blows up.

Yes, me just like the bosses can feel and stop cranking the f'ing handle on a bridgeport if the cutter goes to hell. People in unrelated (management) type work have no clue what is involved in making something and maiking it work. And I bet you have no clue what is involved in making sure you have a job.
All I can say is this. If you think its that easy you should invest your lifes worth into starting a shop and getting about 10 employees just like yourself. I will bet the picture changes. Its amazing that when something goes wrong its always MANAGEMENT that screwed it up.

LOTS and LOTS of post modifications, really a huge PITA, but I'm getting better at it. Randell do you mean HTML modifications instead of post mods?

We are a production job shop, but the worst machinists in our shop are card carrying toolmakers (after the Germans retired). From what Ive seen, most "CARD CARRYING" Toolmakers cant even square a block on a mill. This seems to be a large corporations way of making them feel important. M2C
David, You may have to put the URL in the allow list for nortons. I cant remember where it is off the top of my head. But, there should be a list of allowed sites you OK with nortons.

Would you buy a Saturn to go racing because it's cheaper than a Porche , then say the Saturns a POS cuz you lost the race ? I sure would. Just to get to put the Porche in the wall.
I just had to say that. Now I feel better.
But, thats the easy way. Some find it a way of life to try and get something for nothing instead of like most of us here trying to tweak ours and learing how the post works.
I have found once you start messing around with the post its not that complicated. I have hit a few walls but usually it was me trying to make it harder than it really was.
