  1. quote: All I can say is people that are on Maintenance and people who choose to update/upgrade are getting some worthwhile stuff. Thats funny.....Thats the same stuff I was told about X3. And it turned out to be a total waste of time and MY MONEY. CNC should extend everyones maint. for a year for their lack of ability to release a product worth the cost of maint.
  2. Do a compare in Cimco Edit and see if you can find the differences between the two. Or just copy his to your computer and see if it works.
  3. You will have to turn off the sequential to get it to work.
  4. I will never own another AGIE. Had 2 of them and they will break you on replacement parts. I currently have a CHMER but would buy a FANUC if I had it to do all over with.
  5. Josh just make sure you install X2MR2 before you install X3.
  6. Read the migration and Conversion information in the documentation folder. It tells you what must be converted and what can be copied. HTH
  7. The way you have it is the best IMHO. Setting it up to use the material library is a PITA.
  8. I have libraries for different materials. Its the fastest way Ive found. Add as you go and before long you have a complete library. M2C
  9. At least now you can get something for what you pay for maintenance. But, I guess I will never get it since we let our maintenance expire. Just cant justify the cost for what we have gotten in the past.
  10. quote: I'm still working on trying to reproduce the calculable field errors that happen after a period of time on 64bit platforms. At first I thought it went away in X3 MU1 but it eventually showed its ugly mug.Yep I ran into this again yesterday as well. Working away then all of a sudden you cant do 15.5mm.
  11. Has anyone noticed in verify the tool length doesnt show correct? It seems the flute length is the length it is showing.
  12. G, My file was almost 12 megs. One thing I done that seemed to help a little was in the graphics card settings. I went into the Nvidia Control Panel and made settings just for MasterCam. I used the Solid Works Global setting and made everything like the Solid Works setting except for Unified Back / Depth Buffer I turned it off. It seemed to help some. Another thing I have noticed is where the file was made. I created a file in X3 MU1 and had all kinds of problems. But, I had a X2MR2 SP1 file that was almost the same (11.3 Megs) and opened it in X3 MU1 and it verified fine.
  13. OK, I have done a clean install of my video driver to 178.26 for XP 64 bit. I have the following set: Mastercam Side - Open GL checked on, Disable front buffer checked on Windows is set for best performance. Nvidia I have tried the global settings for Daassault Systems Caita compatible (seems to take alot longer than the Solid Works Setting), Daassault Systems Solid Works and even tried one set to program that was exactly like the Solid Works but with Unifeid Back buffer turned off. And nothing seems to work, I still get the same error when it has about 15-20 minutes left in verify. I have even tried using a STL file for my set up. I am at a lose here and dont know of anything else to try. Any suggestions?
  14. Phil, File-Save As-Options (next to green check mark)- Drop down has X 1 2 3. HTH
  15. G, I dumped the DELL drivers as soon as I got the machine. I have it set set for Solidworks. Mastercam Side - Open GL on, Disable front buffer on. Windows - Set for best performance. Nvidia driver 162.65
  16. I finally got it to complete the verify by turning the quality down half way. But I cant save it as an stl or I get the same error.
  17. Mine is doing all kinds of weird stuff. Now it is flashing as it verifys. WTH?
  18. I installed X3 MU1 and I keep getting this Simulation Error when I verify my part. "SIMULATION ERROR" Fatal Error occurred in Verify / Simulation. Please exit Verify / Simulation and try again with reduced image quality. If the problem persist report to CNC. When this happens and I exit out of Verify it changes my surface and solids colors and will not let me change it back unless I close out of X3. I updated my Video drivers with no luck. Any ideas?
  19. Its something I have ran into several times when importing .dwg files. Then I have a jumbled up mess. I just thought a pre-fix might work. Just keep us posted if it may be doable.
  20. quote: Toolman....Yeah, I agree DWG would be better...But there are politics involved...I wish it were that simple...I know what you mean. Sometimes the oldies are set in their ways and are not going to change. I deal with it too but luckily I get .dwg files. Pete, One thing I think would be good that I have ran into before. When importing a .dwg file with several layers (levels) would be to put ACAD_1 for layer 1. What happens sometimes is when the layers are not consistant and you import a couple of files together or you have geometry on level 1 it will add the ACAD layer 1 to level 1 as well and you have a jumbled mess. If the imported layers could have a pre fix to keep them seperate from our normal layers. Does that make any sense? If not I can to explain it better.
  21. Murlin, Why cant you use the .dwg for the geo. to make the model? Wouldnt it be better than .dxf? I do this alot as well but I use the .dwg geo. and make my model from there. Or am I missing something?
  22. Terry, +100000000 Its hard to keep up with. I just create different folders for different versions. The best way I have found.
