  1. It seems to be it would be much easier and cost effective to do what John is saying. Get a renishaw tool setter and use their macros.
  2. Yup, saving back a version will only save geometry.
  3. quote: I only have level1 so I dont know if I could even become a Beta Tester. There SHOULD BE all levels of testers. But I have often wondered if the level 3s get all the love.
  4. Is it a FULL MOON cause all the IDIOTS are coming out?
  5. I went back to X2MR2 until some issues get straightened out. I still have X3 loaded to see what else is going on when I have time.
  6. I used migrate once and will never ever do it again. I had a mess from HELL.
  7. Matt, that is my exact way of thinking. Prove yourself then we can look at making changes. We make changes very often from folks I have worked with for awhile. When it comes to setting tools the way he describes just seems alot could go wrong.
  8. New Guy = Get with our system not us get with his system. M2C
  9. Like JP said, if you dont have inventor installed on your machine you will have to install the converter. I open .ipt files daily and have no problems.
  10. Yeah JP gets a Dear John Letter and I am told to SNAG IT!! You gotta love this place. By the way, Thanks John. I will try it out.
  11. John, What do you use to take those snap shots?
  12. Just remember to change it in your operation manager on each file.
  13. I just tried it again and it launches the standard HTML.set that came with X3. And I have it set to my customized .set file in my control and in the config. I just wonder if it would have anything to do with my X64 system? Enough stress for today. I think I will go home and have a beer.
  14. Hmmmmm. Thats what I done but couldnt get it to work. I must have sumfin screwy going on with my install. I cant change nc names or program numbers either.
  15. Does it have to have the CHOOKS stuff put into the X3CHOOKS folder? Or did you not do that? I take it you only copied the setup folder and put into X3, copied the .psb and .set files and put them into the post folders. And thats all you done correct? That may be where I messed up because I copied the CHOOKS and put into the CHOOKS folder.
  16. Well John I tried that. But It didnt work. I may be wrong but I believe if you have X2 and X3 on same system it will work because its reading from the X2 directory. If you only have X3 installed in wont? I may be wrong. Do you have ONLY X3 installed on your machine? Because I couldnt get it to work.
  17. Info from In-House. No X2MR2 set up sheets WILL NOT WORK with X3. There hasnt been an update done yet.
  18. Dont forget to change it in the .MMD under the tool/material libraies.
  19. Im using a set up sheet from In-House. It has chooks that it uses. Its different that X+.
  20. You didnt move your CHOOKS to X3? I bet its still reading from your X2 folder.
  21. It seems I am the only having this issue. Chris got it fixed for new X3 files, but It doesnt wrok for previous versions. He is stumped as well as I am.
  22. Well I thought about that, but I think it has CHooks that may not work with X3. Can any one confirm this?
  23. I have done a clean install of X3 and trying to install my HTML Set Up Sheet from In House. It tells me it cant detect the MasterCam installation directory. Please re-install MasterCam. Is there a way around this? Im sure its looking for a X2 directory which doesnt exisit.
