Does anyone know how to change the resolutiontolerance of the holder in Verify?
I'm probably having a brain fart, but I can't see anywhere to do it. Right now my holder looks like an Octagon and I'm not sure if it is clearing the part or not.

One problem we can see here (and its been reported before) is that if you use Solid Trim to trim a solid to a 'sheet solid', then the SaveSome fails to save the sheet like it should. It appears to work for Solids which are trimmed to surfaces. What other cases are you guys seeing it fail in?
I guess you're right. I tried some other situations and it worked. In the files where I was having the problem, I had used several different options but when the regen failed, it failed for everything down the line. The sheet solid must have been the problem. Thanks, Pete.
Any idea if this is in the next update?
When I perform a "save some" option with solids, X2 automatically selects all assoiciative wireframe geometry. However it does not select surfaces, sheet solids, and other solids that are associated. Is this a bug?
I like to use the HSM finish scallop path to door all of my shallow work after a waterline path. But if I set the params to 0-45deg I get a ton of rapid moves. Is there a way to join those areas together with a feed move? Just curious.
So does anyone know of a setting that in Windows or Mastercam that will keep it from taking over my active window while it's generating in the background?

You're asking a LOT of a computer to be crunching toolpath AND drawing in all honesty Ok, James, you might be right, but shouldn't I be able to let it generate some paths and still be able to reply to this post. In mr2 i could have it generating in the background and it stayed in the background I just don't understand why X2 won't.
actually it happens when only one session is running as well. If I have x2 generating in the background and I'm using Excel, or my browser or anything it keeps coming to the foreground for no apparent reason. Then I have to go down to the taskbar and "reactivate" the window I was working in.
If I have 2 sessions going at the same time. 1 session generating and the other I'm manipulating geo or what not, the other session keeps making itself run in the foreground rather than the background. causing me to constantly switch back to the other window again.
What do I have set wrong?
the only fidia I have had experience with was a Fidia 3+2 axis. On that particular machine we replaced the spindle about once a year. and the control was like a menopausal woman. If you made any kind of little mistake it shut down and locked up. We would then have to reboot it and do it again.
We use long descriptive names on our programs but the operators change the names temporarily before sending them to the machine. Otherwise we would have the same problem.+
Oh and welcome to the forum
I usually end up programming from at least 2 sides of every block sometimes 6. Most of the time z zero is bottom of the block and the z datum never changes location regardless of how it's rotated.
where is the setting that tells X2 that it's a drill so use the "deep peck" cycle. or it's a reamer so use the "DrillCbore" cycle?
I had MR2 setup that way. but I can't remember what setting it was.
you may want to hang on just a bit. It sounds like the integration between Mastercam and solidworks is about to become much more extensive. I read in a thread somewhere on here that they are working towards recognition of changes on Solid works files. I'll have to do a search and see if I can find it for you.
I've seen this before. It's common in the tool and die trade. It starts in the hand and then starts to spread before you know it, you're one big jerk! A lot of toolmakers, operators, and engineers get it, but I've never seen it in a programmer.
