In X, Create/Point/Segment, then choose either number of points or distance between.

ProE into .STP or .IGS into MC is about a 50/50 proposition. At least judging by the files I get from my only customer that uses it. Usually it's a bunch of improperly trimmed surfaces. Fixable, but annoying.

well, it will if you draw a line perp to your fist line and make that your centerline EDIT: make it your TANGENT line -

Arc/Tangent...there's an option to put an arc on a centerline tangent to another line -
.stl works well for simple shapes. the polygons never seem to fit right on more complex shapes, thus unnecesary air cuts as well as areas left uncut. I tend to use all options as each situation is unique.

does size really matter? I have forge die models that start out at 150 meg. +. After toolpaths, 500 meg is not uncommon.

Mcam...try calling ALL surfs. "Drive" and use a containment boundary, or, call the top flat surf. Check and use .0005 to .001 negative stock to leave...works for me.....sometimes...

I'd like to see a fully customized post processor tweaked out to every individuals specifications included in the box!

Colin, that works when i post a file, but if I go to a folder to edit a file, I still have to select "All Files" and wade through the .NC and .TXT files.

I'd also like to see the Mastercam Editor recognize .EIA as a file extension.
