James....should be able to FTP with windoze explorer, yes? If not, I'll download WSFTP or something similar. Not sure how to configure it...I was told there should've been a manual for the Data Server Option that shipped with the machine. Two months and many phone calls to Fanuc and Sharp Machines....still no manual. I'm totally in the dark on this one.

OK, need a little hand-holding here... could someone walk me through the steps to connect to the Data server on a 18i-MB, please!

Colin, using your example, try this.....Select all points, Select all color blue. The blue points Should deselect.

Shade Settings/Chord Height. The default is .005, I think. Make it .001 or smaller

we use the Schunk SINO and TRIBOS holders...balanced to 20K. you can see the difference in the finish comparing these to the ER collets we used to use

Colin, I don't believe it's a bug. As Todd mentioned above, it was never intended to be used as a driving curve for a toolpath, although I do seem to remember someone saying that it would be "improved" for future releases.

as far as I know, it's supposed to be for creating quick containment boundaries for toolpathing. I don't know if there is a setting for accuracy, I don't think there is.

David....had the same problem here. Fixed it by turning coolant on in the Tool Parameters and saving to the tool library.

My MPMaster Post is doing this as well.

Heavy, I had something similar on a Hurco post. John Paris helped out with it. It was a "e" that shoulda been a "e$" at the end of a line if I remember correctly.

A 2D Swept would work nicely on something like this.

Pesonally, I'd just UNinstall V9.....The toolpaths in X are virtually the same, plus the addition of the new High Speed toolpaths....

To Delete a Program from machine memory: Selector Switch to "EDIT" Press "PROGRAM" Enter Program Number to Delete (example O0001) Press "DELETE" i THINK this it how it works...i'll check in the morning and correct if necessary.
