Yes. This started to happen when I installed X7. If you have two session of X7 open, decide to close and save the first one and while saving go to the other window, they both will shut down. Of course the second session is not saved..
This video card works okay in Solidworks and Mastercam X6, only problem is X7. I tried disable desktop composition but it takes away usability so I propably just continue hitting ram saver every time I lauch Mastercam.
I launch Mastercam and try to draw geometry and it does not show in the screen. If I use RAM saver the drawed geometry appears and after that it works like normal.
This started happen after some update for X7, I have X6 installed in this computer and it does not have this problem. What could be causing this?
I see this same delay also. Sometimes when I start the verify the stock doesnt show up at all or just partly so I have to shut verify and start it again. I have also started saving my files before verify because it crashes much more often than in previous versions. I have so many files already in X7 that I´m going to keep using it and hope they get things fixed in X8.
Set feed plane to incremental and set the height to a small amount. check safety height only at the beginning and end of toolpath box.
I dont use english version of Mastercam so my terms might be off but someone can correct them.
I have also start using stock model in most of my rest roughing operation. When it works it is a nice feature but I still have problems with it that I havent figured out. Problems usually start when I create a stock model from previous stock model and some operations, I might get stock model operation with red X over it or model that does not include all the operations I´ve put in to create it. Sometimes Ram saver works to fix this or I have to delete the stock model and create it again.
I also use stock model to create casting stock over the part quickly. What I would like to see is option to add stock only selected surfaces not the whole part.
Sandvik Coromant also gives a radius R4 that I can use instead of making a custom tool. Im little hesitated of using custom tools because I have never tried them in Mastercam, is there any known bugs involving custom tools?
I downloaded this tool dxf from Sandvik Coromant page but cannot make custom too out of it in Mastercam. I moved the insert profile to Cut level and everything else in no cut level but all I get is Invalid angle warning. Is there something wrong with the model?
here is the tool http://www.sandvik.c...c=419-066c6-14m
I havent found the solution for this networks lag. I disabled all non microsoft context menus in ShellExView one at a time but that had no effect.
Any other possible reasons for this lag?
Im going to test Sandvik Coromill 419 high feed cutter, they have STP model of the cutter that I can download. Can I import this straight to new X7 tool manager?
You might want to pre finish the part with same size tooling that you are going to finish it. Seems like you have some excessive material in inside radius of the butterfly. You could use raster to pre finish also.
You were right Watcher! Today I went and unplugged network cable from the computer and after that everything opened lightning fast. I ran ccleaner registry clean but the computer is still slow after I connect the network cable back. I will try the ShellExView software next when I have time.
This computer 1 is part of a workgroup and shares MCX part file directories and machine definitions to programming computer 2. These directories are located at this computer 1 so I never thought the network could have anything to do with the lag. Thanks for the advices Watcher.
I havent got new video card drivers yet because it seems I cant download ati drivers individually anymore, have to use their analyzing software and get the machine connected to internet.
The machine only has one ssd drive and there is maybe 20-30 percent storage space left, I read somewhere that it could slow the computer down. Has anyone experienced something like this?
No antivirus software. This is pure programming computer and its not connected to internet. All the settings are in their default folders exept machine definitions. I have also installed X7 again but no effect. This is 64bit Windows 7 machine. Im running out of options here..
