I sent the file to CQ and got an answer that the file crashes because of special characters in file name. This was logged bug already. Smrk has these special letters in his language also so might be the same bug.
You could always test it by creating another folder to E: drive and point only the Mastercam part files to it. I have had situations where I made a config folder for all my personal settings operation defaults, posts ect. but when I put my tool libraries there they just would not stick. I had to make a specific folder to them and now they stay where they should.
My favourite in X6 was that all the high speed toolpaths had tooltip defaulted at center. But Im a professional programmer so I should know to look for these
Mastercam warns me when I open second instance that it may crash my computer, it could do the same thing and warn me when I use minimum retract that I might crash my machine.
BTW I learned it the hard way years ago.
It depends how the machine is set up if it will gouge the part at rapid minimum distance. Minimum distance is safe if you use the feed mode but close to vertical walls it still jumps up without any reason..
You can use holder checking in 3d high speed toolpaths, just measure the tool and draw the holder and put the amount you want the holder to be off from your part. Then make new operation with a longer tools and use dept limits or restrough
I just downloaded Mplmaster for X6 and would like to post the peck drill cycle longhand because our fanuc lathe doesnt seem to like deep hole drill cycle. There seems to be this option on the post but how do I turn it on?
Or you could go wireless. We have Moxa wlan boxes hooked to rs-232 ports in the mills and lathes. Then you need wlan router and Cimco dnc-max or some other software to communicate.
64 bit here. The paths that I run in verify are usually quite big 3d surface paths. When I had a crash in X5 MU1 verify, I could just close it and continue working but in X6 mu1 the whole program freezes and I have to close it from task manager.
Verify in X6 MU1 crashes almost daily, I also got error message in french today and could not shut down the verify.
I had very little problems in X5 verify.
It is an Fanuc option that you have to choose to be able to use 3d helix arcs
We have machine like this and I disabled the arc moves from control definition.
I also have specific folder for every machine and they are in the network. Works well exept you cannot put your tool libraries in that folder, somehow it always changes to default tool library. I fought with this one time and I got them to stick when I created another folder just for tool libraries.
