MPMAZAKM.PST (version 9) I AM TRYING TOU USE MAZAK POST FROM THE C.D. BUT I GET AN ALARM WHEN I try to post some code "warning output name is being changed to program number" "press enter to continue " I press enter and it doesnt post anything it just brings me back to op manager Ultimately what I need is to change my tapping code to output the feed as the pitch. I am mofifying the mpfanuc .I was hoping to cheat and use the mazak post to copy from . Any assistance in finding the answer to the alarm or my post? Thanks Stan

YOUR lead in should be more than 1/2 the dia of the cutter try setting your lead in to 60% see if that helps

GEFORCE FX5500 256ram running "X SP1" and 9mr0105 machine is a AMD 2 gig w/1 gig of memory windows xp pro no problems with verify ETC JUST MY 2 CENTS .I HAD PROBLEM CRASHING IN SOLID WORKS ,M-CAM PARTICULARILY WHEN BACKPLOTTING AND VERIFY all is well so far 3 days using both x and 9(mostly 9 but practicing alot)

this will tkae some gettin used too .but ya gotta just play with it. What I have done is bring a familar file from ver 9 into X and see how the planes-wcs ETC all work together. It helps me understand a little better.they didn't take anything away its just a lot different

its not in edit selescted oeration...its just a "select" choice Its under DOC.file ...collapse all expand all Is that you mike bates?from kal tool?

I updated sp1 today.SP1 shows in the upper left hand corner which would tell me I updated sucessfully???? If I got to op manager and select edit common paramaters ...I do not have the new selections "change nc file name" and "change pgm #" I read the bug fixes in the HTM file and these should be there. Did I not install correctly?

Everytime I open up a file all the toolpaths SHOW up on the sccreen(lots of blue and yellow lines).How can i set this to stay off.The allt-t get rid of it but i have to hit those each time.

I can change the views using the ALT + # commands on the main keyboard but they do not work on the numbered keyboard on the right hand side.Does anybody else notice this ?AND NO MY NUM LOCK BUTTON IS ON so don't even go there

I HAVE BROUGHT SOME VERSION 9 FILES INTO X and played with them..moving geometry,changing tools drawing additional lines ..playing with WCS planes ETC.This has helped me ,rather than starting with a blank screen.This way you are familar with many simple things right from the start.

actually I fixed my problem yesterday.I went into EXPLORER AND SELECTED ...TOOLS,FOLDER OPTIONS,FILE TYPE (TAB) AND "REASSOCIATED" my nc file with the new cimco editor from version 9 MR105.I had uninstalled my older version 9 sp2 which my nc files were associated to I think that was my problem cause I am good to go!

Can a named view be modified?I have created a new named view but my X and Y need to be rotated any body know how to do this?

I have a similar problem.I cannot open files using cimco outside of MASTERCAM.If I browse and find the .exe it just does not default to it.It doesn't even come up as a selection to open with.This only happened after x-install.I can open up the cimco editor within m-cam 9 or X but not through explorer. I am running Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 I dont know where to get help for this one ....other than this forum. Any help would be appreciated!

bchristilaw Create / Arc / Arc Tangent / Then in the Ribbon Bar the 4th Icon from the left, I believe is what you are looking for. I would put screen shot up but not familar with how to do that yet. thanks i didnt even see those xtra icons(DUH)

I cannot create a FULL ARC using create a line tangent . In 9 you could create a line tangent to a centerline.I am trying to layout some dowel pin locations tangent to a line. Any body have a suggestion?
