I searched forum and did not find answer. When I try to genrate a set-up sheet I get a complete set-up sheet, it just comes from the wrong .set file. Its using mill.set and I want to use a custom sheet. I believe I have the settings correct and don't understand why it won't work. CD -> File Usage -> Setup Sheet template -> Path to my .set file, Settings -> Config. -> Files -> File Usage -> Mill Setup Sheet -> Path to my .set file, Settings -> Config. -> Toolpaths -> Setup sheet program -> .SET File Cycled power on MX I need to get this working so I can do some quoting using a custom .set file. HELP TIA

Sounds to me like Maint. customers should have it in our greedy little hands before Thankasgiving!

Some of the others in here may know better, my only suggestion is to adjust your memory buffers (allocation) in the config. HTH

If you do this a lot you might want to check out MoldPlus. I use this all the time. Makes parting lines a breeze.

We do a lot of this around here and slugs can be a problem. 1st week at this job, I was out in shop watching a job run. I noticed slug was not screwed down and wondered what operator was going to do. When machine got close to end og helix; he stopped machine, got a hammer and chisel and cut out slug! I was floored. I have since discovered that things are don differently here!

Define tools with different settings for each set of prameters you want to use. Then have feed and speed come from tool.

tooling: Dynamic rotate does really give me what I need. I would like to be able to hold down a key combination as previously described to rotate about z axis on a plane.

When viewing model from top view, and press ALT + Arrow (left or right), the model will rotate about the 'Y' axis. OK. Fine. However, I would like to rotate the model about the 'Z' axis. How can this be done?

Do you have X+ for MR2? I think you need to update.

Well, do you already know how to program or do you need to learn programming as well? Mastercam like any other tool is dependent on being used correctly. I have found it easy enough to learn and apply to the problems I need to solve. However, I have 20 plus years of programming behind me. Three of those years I have used V9 and X.
