I am currently using X7, but would like to change to X8, however I have found a problem with a specific tool that has been common for many previous versions, but I have found that in X8 it doesn't work, OR it could be the way items are selected have changed, but haven't found the solution. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem.
I am using the Boolean tool to create solids. I specifily use the boolean remove to create solid models, I have found out this is not working correctly. Normally I bring in a surface sheet, which must be larger than my solid body, then I create solid sheet using (solid from surfaces) after doing this successfully I am using Boolean remove, selecting the body first then the sheet, then applying, it is given me an error, (boolean remove operation would result in a disjoint body), normally I only get this when my solid sheet isn't larger than the body, which I always make the sheet at least 5mm bigger.
Please help & thanks for any help in advance.

I have been working on my setup sheet to try and match the X+ setup sheet. I have almost finished it. I can't seem to find the setting to set the z depth relative to the WCS. Is there a way to do this or not.
Thanks for the Help.

Seemingly the post looks correct. when i backplot it looks correct. it's only when trying to run in the wire machine that it is changing. i thought it might be a setting in our wire machine. i wouldn't know what that would be.
I am trying to use the 4 axis option cutting a variable land. I figured out that we can't program the z varibly. I drew the top profile so i could acheive what i needed to. when i load the program into the machine and start it, my u's and v's are going in the opposite direction from what it's posting. Am i missing a setting in the wire that I need or what.?
Very frustrated at this point.
thanks for any help you can provide.

We are trying to use tapping on our Mazak 640 fusion. Mastercam is not putting out the correct code when writing a EIA program.
SAMPLE CODE: G98 G84 Z-20. R2. F.7
X90. F75.
Now keep in mind we are in metric tapping and we are using a M10 X 1.75 Tap.
Does the Mazak read this differently? please feel free to email me your responses

I recently upgraded computers to Windows 7 PRO with a 64bit system. As we all know, up too this point Mastercam doesn't have a 64bit software, but as I understand it they will have this option with X6. That being said, I am having trouble with Printing with Mastercam, sometimes it will work, and sometimes it won't. Will this be fixed with X6 64bit version or am I the only one having trouble?
thanks,
JEFF
