Yes I currently do it this way but I was curious why there are tool libraries that have numbers up to 900+ because now I use tools that go in the same pocket as, say, t30 but I use the setup sheet to clarify any changes.
thanks for your input.
Jeff
I have been using Mastercam for a while and we always use the tool numbering to match what the tool changer has, but I have been wondering why in the default tools they have them numbered 1 thru 900 or more? What is the purpose for this or am I missing something with the numbering system? I would think you would still have to number your tool to match the tool changer so it knows to pull up the correct tool.
Thanks for any input

Is someone using the Mazak Lathe 200-II Nexus?
And are you using the EIA program side instead of the Maztrol programming. If you are then can you send me a sample program of what is suppose to be in the program? We want to use the EIA program but don't have a sample program.
thanks,
JEff
Can someone help me with my Post for My Mazak Mill fusion 640/M. I need it to post out M01 after every operation. Can someone help guide me through this change, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jeff
Why can't you use the chamfer cutter and change your angle, that is what I do unless your using a different Highfeed cutter, if that is the case then never mind.
thanks,
Jeff
I want to save the verify file to a STL file but I get a fatal error message that shuts down Mastercam X3. Has anyone had this problem?
Can someone help
Thanks,
Jeff
Yes you have to change your post so that the coolant comes on first then your spindle. It is easy to change. If I had time I would send you my post to look over, and compare. IF you can wait I can send it to you Monday.
