  1. no we actually can't. only one HASP is USB. we tried to change the other one but they told me that we'll be charged money for that and so the machine shop manager said nevermind we're ok as is. thanks for all guys.
  2. now i have a legitimate right to feel like a total dumb.. lol.. thanks alot guys.. appreciate it. and now i figured out i guess why my icons are all screwed up when i load my mtb file on the other station... or so i guess... the monitor is smaller its 17". could that be it? peace out.. thanks alottttttt
  3. hi guys...in MCX2 i customized the station where i usually work and created a 'elraiis' in the toolbar states section so that when i load it u know all icons and such are where i wish them to be to my convinience. my question is where can i find this configurations i saved in case i want to make a copy of it on the second station we have as we sometimes have to shift pcs because one station has the lathe license and the other is only milling. i don't know if i made sense. like for other configs i did i found files such as elraiis.mtb and so... for me key mapping and right click mouse key menu.. what about the toolbar states? is it like included in one of those otherwise where is it!? any help is appreciated thanks.
  4. X3 is getting released already? more bugs fixing or real updates? i hope the interface of the software won't be flipped upside down again as it was done between 9.1 and X.. some guys where i work would really end up with a heart attack... which would be a pleasant thing to see.
  5. wow, that was awsom guys, really.. i have no freakin clue what was going on there i feel dumb. is that vb? c++? coocoo language? how come in the books section there isn't a book teaching this if i may ask as i am very interested.
  6. thanks alot guys.... and thanks for the warning, i'll be careful.
  7. thanks alot man.. really appreciate it, i'll try it. thankssss again.
  8. hi guys, when i merge 2 files, its only the geo that gets merged. now i got a big pallet and was thinking to merge toolpaths so that i sort the tools in a way that lets say the facemill comes down and does it work on 2 different parts at the same time to save some time. but not quite sure how to merge the toolpath.. any hints? i got mc9.1 and X2, am more concerned as to how its done with 9.1 to be honest but if X2 does it and not the 9.1 then i can live with that. if they both do it, 9.1 is my priority plz. thanks in advance for all help.
  9. great tips, thanks guys...
  10. i can't be much of help hence am new to the mouse myself man.. but i guess ur right i noticed this as well. although i have no idea what is the center of rotation used when am using the 3d mouse.. defenately not the middle of the part though hence the part doens't rotate in a balanced manner. i gotta check.. .maybe the center of rotation is the datum did u check that?
  11. i'd go with pocket true spiral
  12. the papers pile up is going to be a probelm here as well.. i just hope the space nav wil be respeced enough that it wouldn't be buried in papers.. i did what you said and yes it helps a little to have things move slower so i can somewhat control things. peace
  13. thx man.. made me feel i still have hope.
  14. hey guys... i finally got my hand on the space nav 3d mouse. as much as i was eager to use this thing, i never thought it would require so much focus! how much time did it take you guys to get used to using it? it made me dizzy today and its sooooo sensitive my God.. its cool though.. gives things a little fun touch .. peaceeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. thanks alot man... peace
  16. heyyyy collin.. thanks man. didn't talk to you since forever. hows all going? hopefully good.. sorry to be annoying, but where do i find the macros screen in the haas? i can go digin the manual tomorrow which 'irritates' the shop manager. or someone can give me a little pointer to the right direction.. peace.. thanksssssssssssssss... am breaking some taps tomorrow.. i think my haas is vf15 if i am not mistaking. 10000rpm. low gear 2800 or so. i think i'll try going on the high gear though. bye
  17. hi guys.. i got a new dwg from a customer today and to my limited experience its the first time i encounter a part that has almost 160 tapped holes. diff ones like 4-40, 2-56 and 6-32. mat is alum and usually when i tap (forming tap) i didn't use to go more than 1000rpm as i used to deal with parts with an average of 15 to 20 taps. but now with THIS number, i was thinking to go up to 3000 to 4000rpm but was wondering if anyone here tried such rpms for tapping before and if it would work or not.. before i start braking stuff.. thanks in advance.. and another thing, how do i get to the macros in a haas machine? with fanuc control its from the offset menue and i select macros.. but haaas? i was meddling around it today but couldn't find it... hint would be appreciated. peace
  18. hi trust me man, just get a XP windows or have a dual boot and run your MC9.1 on it. Vista isn't good... we are having both 9.1 and X2 in our place and winXP runs it better for both... although can't be so sure for X2 i ran it on Vista before but not much its rather neglected here.. but back to the topic 9.1 will give you hell on Vista.. up to you. peace
  19. hass mill? haas is the best, forget the rest. precise, friendly and a fast cutter.. reads well ahead and respects corners without having to slow down when getting close to a corner to do it right like some... ehem, dumb machines.
  20. go back to v9.1 i find it much more reliable and faster so far. don't assasinate me guys, just a suggestion.

  22. hi guys... simple and quick thing for sure for those who used this before... am always working with machines that has around 40 to 50 G's... few weeks ago we got a machine that has only G54 TO G59 and its not enough for production at all... so i want to be sure if anyone can help if i use the G10 L2 G54 X_ Y_ WOULD THAT SOLVE IT? AND I CANCELL the command by G11? meaning if i'm to say my G54 is X1 Y1 Z0. AND MY SECOND PART IS LOCATED 5 inches away ON X AXIS so is this going to be correct: G10 L2 G54 X5.0Y0.0 PROGRAM G11 ????? thanks in advance for any avalable help.
