If you save the file with the program number then go to settings /configurations/ tool path manager you can set the defaults to mxc file name. There are some other options that you’ll have to look at also.......
I've changed my machine def according to the post to properly post the through spindle coolant m88 , but now i get this error everytime i go into a tool path.
Tools coolant settings are incompatible with this machine. Coolant will not be updated. Error
this is the text from the post (generic haas 4xmill)
Coolant output code selection for X style coolant
# Note: To enable X style coolant, click on the General Machine Parameters icon
# in the Machine Definition Manager, Coolant tab, disable first check box
# Output of X style coolant commands in this post is controlled by pcan, pcan1, & pcan2
Is there a way to stop this error from poping up everytime........
Thanks in advance.....
Seth
You'll have to do a force tool change. This would repost your tool length offset spindle speed ect. Also I think there’s a parameter in the haas machine which would allow you to start anywhere in the program...... Can’t remember which one though.........
Ok I have a post for my sl-30 which works pretty good, but for some reason I can’t use chip break and also I would like to ad the ability to use canned cycles. This is all done in the post I would imagine. I will put my post and machine def. on the ftp under Lathex2_haas_sl.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Seth
I think that if the dealers were willing to throw in some training when you renew your maintenance there would be a little more of an incentive and less of a gripe to keep renewing.
What do you guys think……?
Wow what did I get gong on this one.
The problem with software is all the conflicts between drivers, graphics ect. There are so many variables with systems, installed software configurations it would be almost impossible to simulate what everyone is running. So there is a bit of a difference. These fixes take time. I would agree that all issues should be addressed and resolved, but I don’t think that you can stop developing new functionality. I too am a lathe user and I can’t wait Intel all the current issues are addressed, but I use it everyday and it does what I need it to.
Thats a great way to do it. I also use the g129. If its not to much trouble you could also use a g53 x0.0 z-15.0 or what ever you want its a machine position.
