The Okuma does have the 15000 rpm spindle. Still waiting on all the specs as far as options. I don’t have any extensive time on either brands, mostly Haas and Fadal. So as far as I can see either is a better option. Anything to look out for on these two machines?
Does anyone run this machine, what do you think of it. Are there any options I should be looking for? Primarily for a job shop, some government work, aerospace, molds, dies, hope I didn’t forget anything......
Thanks
Thanks Guys I will give these suggestions a try. Now that I think of it I never checked the settings in the machine. Also I didn’t wait after hitting input either. I will check the settings and wait on the input...Is there any curtain parameters to look out for in the machine......
Thanks again...
Ok, what do you guys use for the communications via RS232 for the okuma Lathes. I believe the controller is an osp 5000L. I've hooked up the db9 to db25 cable per the books spec. I've tried cimco and master cams editors to send the programs with no luck other than parity error. I’m not really sure I'm even getting the control ready the right way. I hit edit, then pip, then read, then type cno:, then hit Input and try to send the program. I've set the pc communications program according to the procedure sent by Okuma support.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Seth
Ok I've searched through the forum and found vast information on X+ and I've been using it for a while now. Today I installed the newest version of X+ and now everything is in German. I've looked in the chooks x+ folder and the English lang dll file is already in there. I must be missing something...... any help would be great.
Thanks
Seth
Thanks Guys I was wondering about that. I guess I'll use the technologies that are in the control for the offset. Is this how everyone else is doing it. Is there a way to get the technoligy out of the control and in my box.....
thanks
In the parameters page, for passes. one or two. Is this normal or am i just doing somthing wrong. I've programmed the Agie before, now this seems diffrent.
Thanks again
Just wondering if there is somebody out there programming with this type of wire edm. I'm kind of new to the wire programming and was wondering about the power library. I'm using a .01 wire but when I select that folder it still gives me different wire sizes. Any advice would be great.
Thanks in advance...
Is there a way to change the Font so it’s a single line, not double? If the symbol was a square it would insert two squares. Kinda hard to explain, but hopefully somebody understands. I'm using the verisurf GD & P font.
