Ron,
Is this something that I could load file in the note dialog box. It would be all the standard GD&T Fonts. So it sounds like it would help. If I can figure out how to use it......
Thanks
Seth
I'm just starting to use symbols for my mastercam drawn prints. Although I don’t see allot of symbols that I need in the menu is there a way to get more, or am I just doing something wrong......
Thanks
In the book it just calls a p1 through p4
p1 being single edge cutting, cutting amount constant.
p2 double edge cutting, cutting amount constant
p3 singe edge cutting, cutting depth constant
p4 double edge cutting, cutting depth constant...
Is his what you are referring to?
The Chatter does improve towards the chuck, and as I stated earlyer it does only seem to chatter on the last couple passes. I'll try slowing it down. I'll have to check on the shims I purchased the holder and inserts specifically for this job. Its a Vardex I'll have to check the specifics. I might be able to take the center alittle bit deeper, but not much.
Thanks for the help, Keepem comming....
The Material is 1018CD. The insert looks good. I'm kinda wondering if its the free passes. Maybe it likes the preasure.
What would you run it at speed wise I'm will to try almost anything at this point...
I'm trying to thread a piece 35" long. Everything is great until the last 4 passes then the chatter starts. I'm using a Haas sl30 with the big bore and long bed option. The journal on one end in the spindle and the other in a live center. My settings are as follows.
Spindle speed 450
Cut equal amount
Amount of first cut .004
2 spring passes
Thanks in advance.
Ok I just wanted to make a left hand of a part I'm Working on. So after completing the 1st part I tried to transform tool path mirror about the y using coordinate as the method. The mirror view is check with top and I also checked Reverse Tool path. Everything looks good at first glance, but then I noticed that the circle mill paths were going to the bottom of the bore 1st and working there way up instead of down. Ouch on my sandvik m390 roughing cutter. Is this a known Problem or is there something I'm doing wrong..... I'm Using X4
Thanks
Seth
Wow I should have never read this post. I didnt have a problem with this intel I read this post. Now everytime I import somthing it wants to add another tool when I'm already using one in earlyer opps......The only thing I noticed is the 1st time I creat a program everything is as it should be. When I open and old file and try to import more ops. Bingo Bango problem again.......
I would like to add g8 to any milling operations to my Fadal Format 1 post. I'm Currenly running X4. Is there an easy way to edit my post to acomplish this.
thanks
Seth
