  1. Try this: From surface paths tab --> advanced, increase the chaining tolerance. Sometimes it best to create new surfaces...
  2. "then the computer tries to access the floppy drive and I get the error notice dialog that wants your email and after getting out of that dialog. I get the unhandled exception error and mastercam closes" We had the same thing in 2 computers (same mcx). I send it to our reseller and he forwarded it to qc. They tryed it (the same file) in mr2 sp1 and x3. No problem. Only one mcx have done this to us....
  3. Advanced multiaxis i Mcam is all i need, i use it for 3axis milling too. It's a little bit difficult to learn but... a good way to get exellent toolpaths.
  4. If it don't help try this. Settings -> Connfiguration -> Colors -> Use entity colors, have to be checked...
  5. Is there anybody who has experience about Xilog plus and its compatibility with MasterCAM?
  6. For me it works better if i only importing solids. Open -> parasolid -> options -> import only solids. Good luck...
  7. I think it is a good choice, morph between 2 curves or 2 surfaces. On tool axis conntrol tab, try alternative options. On the roughing tab, try "depth cuts".
  8. I agree with Thad about same settings in different places. I don't like it. I just gived up and let them go to mc.s nc folder and remove them to the right place.
  9. I have used advanced multiaxis about 3 years. I have very big workpieces and noticed that adv. multiaxis creates much better toolpaths.
  10. We had the same problem here for a couple of months ago. CNC software know about this and it is logged as bug number cnc00025757.
  11. We save all our SW files as parasolides, because they are much smaller.
  12. Try to use side tilt angle 0.001 degrees or -0.001 degrees and Side tilt def = Ortho to cut dir at each position and Run tool = Auto Good luck....
