  1. Correct me if I'm wrong, If I want to use my V9 Mitsu power setting in X mr2, I need to first change my extension on all my setting from "WP9" to "power" in windows explorer. There must be a better way.
  2. What double sided tape do you recommend?
  3. In V9 if you selected a tool and set the speeds & feeds in your operation, the speeds remain constant as long you didn't reselect it from the library. I'm trying to do the same in X.
  4. In X, when using the same tool for multiple operations, how do you make the speed & feed remain the same through out the all the different operations without having to enter it each time you choose the tool?
  5. I have a question... When using wear how to you keep track of tool size at the control? The tool offset page would only have the minor adjustments in the radius section. seams to me this could get confusing going from program to program, operator to operator. I'm sure the ones the use wear regularly have a good system of keeping this method straight.
  6. I'm lovin' this setup sheet. thanks for sharing!!!
  7. I have a problem with post outputing a double astrisk( **) at the end of each line. I just need a single. Not only does this do it in the NC file, it also does it in the setup sheets. It must be something in my configuration or contol Def.
  8. Did what Dave recommended.... Got it working!! Thanks
  9. Crazy, when I change it in my control def. it reads mill2, but when I create the setup sheet it outputs a "mill.set" setup sheet.
  10. I hate to beat a dead horse, but... I did a search read several questions and answers on this topic. My operators prefer a simple setup sheet like mill2 in v9. I've yet been able to get X to post such a setup sheet. I've changed my configuration and control definition both to mill2 but when I do a setup sheet it still posts a mill.set type setup sheet.
  11. quote: I have 2 Hardinge Conquest lathes and I think that Hardinge, in general, sucks. Their service network [at least in my area] is non-existent, their parts are expensive, their phone support sucks, and the entire corporation has a 'we're HARDINGE' attitude that makes me want to choke someone every time I deal with them. I couldn't have said it better myself!
  12. If you have Inventor, open up the IDW and save a copy as a DWG. Then you will be able to convert it.
  13. I can't totally switch over, X wire is not released yet.........
  14. Got it! Thanks! The piece of the puzzle I was missing was: n$ = t$
  15. In X I'm using a modified version of mpmaster post that has been updated. I cannot get it to output the sequence numbers the same as the tool numbers sequentially and only at tool changes like it did in V9.
  16. Been there, done that........ http://www.emastercam.com/ubb/ultimatebb.p...ic;f=1;t=016085
  17. quote: Does upgrading to a USB hasp fix theis problem? Switched over to a USB today. So far everythings worked fine.......
  18. Called my MC dealer, they are sending me a USB hasp to solve problem.
  19. quote: Yes....we run a printer through the hasp and everytime we print something the system does'nt recognise the hasp and requires a system restart. Same thing is happening to me! Pain in the neck!
  20. I didn't need to change my Hasp according to simswap, but I'm having problems. Since I loaded X, when I use my printer I lose my Hasp(keep getting hasp not found). I restart my computer to get hasp back. Whats the deal with that?
  21. I did not realize until after I loaded X , that mastercam Wire is not released yet in X. I was slightly disappointed.
